- Christian conservatives: Beware of Huckabee
December 14, 2007 1:00 a.m. Eastern-David Limbaugh, World Net Daily
--"But I confess, my main anxiety about Christian conservatives is their seeming willingness to turn a blind eye to Christian pastor Mike Huckabee''s decidedly liberal instincts."------

in answer to your wondering about Americans dumb enough to vote for Huckabee marlarky...yes, there are hundreds of them...I live smack in the Bible belt it is astonishing how some think or I should say don''t think.......a lot of uneducated, illiterate...whatever their preacher tells them to do, that is what they do and changing their mind forget it, it''s a waste of time to try.......and I''ve see their preachers go to a friend of mine that ran an auto upholstry business years ago bragging about his flock buying him all the antique cars he had, also drunk while he''s bragging.
But his flock thought his word was the only word. - Reply to this comment
- Mitt is the man for the job. America has seen him face adversity in this race with courage and class. That cannot be said for McCain and these-are-the negative-ads-I-would-run-if-I-were going-to Huckabee.
As time goes on, it is more and more obvious that Mitt Romney is the only Republican candidate that has the ability to defeat the Hillary/Obama ticket. The democrats know this - just look at the press releases from the Democratic National Committee attacking Romney.
McCain is not fit to be president, as should be readily apparent to anyone who has watched the debates. If he can''t think clearly and keep his cool in a political debate with someone from his own party, heaven help our country if he is ever dealing with leaders of nations like China, Russia, Iran, etc. Putting McCain in the White House would only place our troops at unnecessary risk.
As far as Huckabee is concerned, his continued involvement is clearly for the purpose of pandering to McCain by taking votes from Romney. Both Huckabee and Crist seem to have an eye on a vp nod from McCain - more than a little self interest in those "endorsements." - Reply to this comment
- i''m a huckabee supporter - i would never vote for romney, even in November! why? romney distorted the great record and great character of huckabee. romney calls that politics! I can''t stand romney. i doubt i could vote for mccain but never for romney. Huckabee will hopefully pull some upsets tomorrow and we, the conservative right, will all be happy!

- Mitt Romney stood up against the Massachussetts courts in a way that is exceptionally honorable to fight against same *** marriage. He also fought for an ammendment to the constitution to preserve the definition of marriage.
Huckabee seems like he''d make a fine pastor, but is not who I''m looking for to be president. I want someone who knows the issues and has a plan. NIE ring a bell? - Reply to this comment
- I have lived a long time, I worked in the health care field a large part, patients with mental problems....I''m no expert but but from long experience,I see all the signs of dangerous mental problems in John McCain. .His self grandiose thinking shows and with the previous post of singing bomb Iran...everything indicates insanity, his laugh is typical mental ward.
He can''t wait to get in the presidents chair and get his finger controlling the bomb buttons. - Reply to this comment
- Conservatives and Moderates:
Vote your CONSCIENCE, not what the media spin doctors, the polls, and talking pundits try to manipulate you to do.
48 million babies have been killed by abortion in this nation: more than 1 million per year, more than 3,000 per day. For the unborn, every day is Sept. 11. Mike Huckabee is 100% prolife. Mitt Romney is not; his family has even been a financial backer of Planned Parenthood--the largest abortion provider in the nation.
And his record against the sanctity of marriage is just as terrible. There is only one state in the nation where so-called "same-*** marriage" is legal: Romney''s Massachusetts. Do you really want this man to be your president? I know I don''t.
Vote your conscience, and watch what God will do.
Mike Huckabee is the one leading candidate who we can trust to stand up for the sanctity of life and the sanctity of marriage. He''s the REAL THING, not a phony. - Reply to this comment
- A vote for the Hucker is a vote for McLame.
Here''s why: If the nomination goes to convention then Hucker will ask all his delegates to vote for McLame.
Hucker will NOT get the nom and if he was like Giulliani or like Thompson he''d bow out.
It is very uncouth that someone with no chance of winning stays in the race.
Hucker and all 300M americans but a few hucker supporters know full well he is out.
The thing is ... if McLame does win ... he''ll do it without a majority of the vote ... all because of the Hucker.
He''s pathetic! - Reply to this comment
- Yes, McCain is not the most conservative man in the race, but Romney is even WORSE than he is.
Mike Huckabee can be trusted to stand up for the sanctity of life and the sanctity of marriage: the two pillars of any civilized society.
Mitt Romney has been no friend to either of these. Look at his record. Explore his ties with Planned Parenthood-the largest abortion provider in the nation. Anyone who would give money to that detestable organization should NOT be trusted by anyone. - Reply to this comment
- Romney is NOT an authentic conservative. His health care legislation provides taxpayer-funded abortions for a co-pay of just $50. He has line-item veto, and he vetoed eight provisions in his health care bill, but he did not veto a mandate in this legislation that someone from Planned Parenthood must be guaranteed position on the Advisory Board. His family also has a history of supporting Planned Parenthood--the largest abortion provider in the nation, if not the world--the true "evil empire." Its founder, M. Sanger, believed in eugenics to stop minorities. Check out the facts. This is truly an evil organization!
Mr. Romney is also no friend of traditional family values. In Dec. 2006, the New York Times reported Romney had been hurt by revelation of a letter he had sent to the Log Cabin Club of Massachusetts claiming he would be a stronger advocate for homosexual rights than would his then-opponent, Sen. Edward Kennedy. "We must make equality for ''***'' and lesbians a mainstream concern," Mr. Romney wrote in his plea for the support of the club, a homosexual Republican organization. The Romney campaign did not dispute the letter''s authenticity. (See http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=57786.) Governor Romney often reminds voters that he tried to fight "gay marriage" while he was governor in Mass. But, the fact is, he was unable to stop it. Mass. is the only state in the nation where so-called "gay marriage" is legal, and it happened on Mr. Romney''s watch. - Reply to this comment
- Romney has proven himself time and again to be willing to decieve to win the nomination. His "two man race" talk is just one more example. He grossly mis-represented Huckabee in his negative ads. In fact, his whole CANDIDACY is one big falsehood as he portrays himself as the "perfect conservative" when he has spent his whole political LIFE as a LIBERAL - especially on the SOCIAL ISSUES. Get out Romney - We want hte REAL DEAL!!

- Romney supporters: If I want to vote for Huckabee, I will. If I McCain is my second choice following Huckabee, so be it. If you think that attacking Huckabee''s character is going to "scare" Huckabee supporters into casting their votes for Romney, you''re making the same mistake Romney himself continues to make. Chanting over and over again that "a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain" is one surefire way to get a Huckabee supporter to vote for Huckabee. Also, Huckabee is right; Romney is not the preferred second choice of Huckabee supporters. Huckabee has a conscience; he''s not going to sign onto every conservative idea and ditch his conscience. Romney? I don''t know what he stands for or for how long. On the question of making difficult decisions in difficult times, I would rather vote for a Huckabee or McCain, two men who know how to hold a point of view (even when it''s not popular). Romney is trying to look like the perfect conservative; but I don''t want him to be "perfect," I want him to be honest. Why hasn''t he been able to figure this out? But we don''t need to draw Republican blood by attacking each other with silly slogans: "a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain." Guess what? I cast my individual vote for who I want to. If Romney gets the nomination, I''ll vote for him against the democrats. But he''s got to win my respect. So far he''s just ticking me off with his annoying attacks on Huckabee.

- "HUCKABEE IS McCAIN''S CAMPAIGN MANAGER"
The exact quote at 5:45 from the CNN political team.
HUCKABEE SUPPORTERS STOP BEING FLEECED BY THE SMOOTH TALKING CROOK. He is stooging for exactly who you do not want to win. WAKE UP ... if you vote for Huckabee ... you are voting for McCain. - Reply to this comment
- Romney is the only conservitive in this race. Ron Paul has no chance at all and Huckabee doesn''t have much more. He is right. a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain. McCain is nothing more than a RINO. His views and opinions mirror the democrats. He destroyed your right to make your opinion heard through grass root organizations because they hurt him in the last election. Now we are left with liberal news to tell us who we should vote for and they all support McCain. Doesn''t that tell anyone anything???

- Romney''s conservative record:
---In the four balanced budgets he signed into law, Governor Romney used the line-item veto or program reduction power to cut spending by nearly $1 Billion. Over the course of four budgets, Governor Romney made over 300 line-item reductions, 350 line-item eliminations and struck language 150 times.
--- When Gov Romney took office in Massachusetts, he inherited a $2 billion deficit. While in office, he turned the $2 billion into a surplus----WITHOUT raising taxes.
---Gov Romney solved the health care crisis in Massachusetts----and his plans are still used today. He did this by using the free market and competition---and without raising taxes. Families who once paid $300 for health care, were able to get the same coverage for $150.
--- Gov. Romney was instrumental in passing a bill abolishing a retroactive capital gains tax in the state that would have forced nearly 50,000 taxpayers to pay an additional $200 million in state taxes and fees
--- 4 years ago --- before the illegals marched in our streets --- Romney opposed a bill that would have allowed illegal aliens to get driver%u2019s licenses. "Those who are here illegally should not receive tacit support from our government that gives an indication of legitimacy," the governor said.(Scott S. Greenberger, "Romney Stand Dims Chances Of License For Undocumented," The Boston Globe, 10/28/03) - Reply to this comment
