Let us be fair - when you look at "Srileygls" posts, particularly on p.2 where she asks, "Does Mike Huckabee think it is acceptable Christian behavior to be jealous and green with envy if and only if he is being compared to someone who is rich, much better-looking, with a brilliant education, a beautiful wife and five fabulous, adoring sons?" I am sure Mike doesn''t think twice about those issues, but apparently YOU do. I did notice that you left out "a beautiful wife" in your latest posts, bravo! Let''s not see where your true heart lies, shall we. If you didn''t catch the last debate, Mike told Romney that he should be very proud of his 5 sons; however, don''t think for one minute he cares what a "brilliant education" Romney has. Do you honestly think it matters where our president went to school? Did Jesus choose only the "best of the best" to be his disciples? You know the answer to that one, don''t you. He picked people like you and me. As to your thinking Mike is taking "jabs" at Romney, get a sense of humor. Oh, and by the way, all of Romney''s half-truths and distortions about Huckabee and McCain are the same as LIES, and we all know our commandments, don''t we? We all sin, so please do not put our dear Romney up on a pedestal. Huckabee has stated that he sins every day, we all do, so please admit to yours.

Mike Huckabee''s seemingly innocent way of "poking fun" at his political rivals (Mitt Romney)is only fooling the truly naive. The heart of Mike Huckabee was exposed when he maliciously spread serious slander about the beliefs of Mormons on national T.V., only to later acquiesce (after the damage was done)that he really doesn''t know much about the Mormon church. Precisely. How hard is it to find out the facts before one spreads the slander? What kind of man goes on TV and spreads an insidious lie about his opponent''s religious beliefs, and then, after the mischief is accomplished, admits he really doesn''t know much about the topic? So much for being a decent guy, much less a christian.
Mike Huckabee has obvious reasons to be jealous and angry. But being so sly, while cloaking himself in the banner of Christianity, makes him downright dangerous.

You know, it''s amazing... Mike Huckabee pokes a little harmless fun at one of his political rivals in an attempt at levity- incredibly miniscule in comparison to the unbridled attacks that the republican elitists and talking heads like Rush, Sean, Ann and the like, are hitting him with daily, and yet he''s the only one that ANYONE has criticized as being "un-christian"!?! What a bunch of hypocrites. Apparently the standard applies to one but not to all.

Huckabee is the ONLY candidate that has not resorted to negative campaigning in order to diminish his competitor''s reputations or records. In the mean time, Club for Growth has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars producing negative attack ads against Huckabee in order to try to derail his campaign. And now that Romney''s Bain Capital owns Clear Channel Communications, who, by the way broadcast Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter and others programs, the on-air assaults have exploded! Gee, a little sucking up to the new boss, perhaps?!?

Mike Huckabee is a good and decent public servant who did an excellent job as Governor for the State of Arkansas, has more governing experience than ANY of the candidates, republican OR democrat, and has the moral compass that has long been absent from American politics.

Huckabee is the best choice for President in this election.

I have serious concerns that Mike Huckabee''s diabetes was brought on by careless, unhealthy eating and an imprudent lifestyle. His past lack of self-discipline makes me question that he has the good health needed to be president.

Contrast him to Mitt Romney--whom Huckabee mocks. Romney demonstrates lifetime, healthy lifestyle traits--he looks lean and strong, he eats and drinks wisely, protecting his health for the good of his himself, his family, and those he serves.

Due to the mounting diabetes epidemic, America faces a monumental medical care and cost meltdown due to unhealthy eating and drinking lifestyle choices. Congratulations to Huckabee for "flip-flopping" on his past unhealthy lifestyle choices, but congratulations to Romney for a consistent record of good health self-discipline--the kind of positive example America needs.

Huck is not a legitimate candidate for the presidency. He''s anti-business and does not have the backing of the business half of the republican party. In all seriousness Huck would be a fantastic Democratic candidate, if the Democratic party was not married to the pro abortion and pro gay movements. This is now a 2 man race between McCain and Romney. Huck has about as much chance of John Edwards: no chance at all.

Mike Huckabee has an obvious chip on his shoulder about all of Mitt Romney''s success. It is pretty obvious to anyone why he would feel that way when being compared to a brilliant and successful man like Governor Romney. The point is, Mike Huckabee''s mocking and personal jabs about Governor Romney''s success are not very "christian", especially since he advertises his great strength being his alleged christianity. From my personal bible studies, one isn''t a christian just by claiming to be one. One is a christian by being Christlike and applying the teachings of Christ. Mitt Romney has conducted himself throughout his campaign with real class, and as the true christian that he is.

The concern most Southerners fear is electing a President who is unable to fully relate to the south%u2019s strong southern values. For many years people of southern heritage has been viewed only as corn-cob pipe smoking hicks worthy of receiving the brunt of preconceived opinions bordering on intolerance, due to the profiling of all southerners together. It%u2019s a type of discrimination, if you will!

Huckabee is the clear choice for president. His moral standing, common sense approach to the issues for all Americans (only Rep candidate to attend Martin Luther King, Jr. events) speaks volumes. If you have half a mind of your own, you can see through the white-collar pundits pushing their choice of Romney down their like-minded viewers'' throats. They prey on the ignorant who haven''t got the sense to do the research and instead are enamored with the "rich, much better-looking, brilliantly educated" candidate. Romney is the John Kerry of the Republican party, and if you haven''t got the sense to see through it, maybe you need to get an education at an average public institution like most of us poor idiots. I sure hope srileygls does not have daughters who are won over by this nonsense.

Mitt Romney is not only duplicitous in his campaigning, he is also literally trying to buy the election. I think Ed Rollins'' feelings about wanting to punch Romney''s teeth in are very understandable. Only a mature and wise man like Mike Huckabee could respond to such an unprincipled SOB with gentle humor. Huckabee is so far above Romney in quality that there is no comparison.

Mike Huckabee has a fabulous sense of humor. I would like him to select Bobby Schindler as a vice-president for a great compassionate/intellectual blend, but Colbert will do just fine too! [insert smiley]

The Huckster will do anything to snipe at Romney. Yes, the article is a joke, but so is the Huckster!

Does Mike Huckabee think it is acceptable Christian behavior to be jealous and green with envy if and only if he is being compared to someone who is rich, much better-looking, with a brilliant education, a beautiful wife and five fabulous, adoring sons? Just wondering.

Huckabee is not going to win anything anymore. As much as we like to hear his gaffes, he is out of the race for President following his defeat in South Carolina. He will still draw votes, but he can no longer win unless he pulls a miracle in Florida, meaning Jesus himself cheats for him.

It is down to Romney and McCain.

If he is lucky, Romney or McCain will pick him as VP. I am thinking it will be Romney, with the latest Rasmussen poll showing a 6 point lead for Romney. (33-27%)

Watch out folks! Mike Huckabee will finish strong in Florida and will be a big surprise in the Super Duper Tuesday contest.

He is the only candidate in the Republican Party who has actually put forth any substantial plans on how he would govern. He has taken the bold step to introduce America to the concept of a "Fair Tax", a bold economic initiative. He has proposed rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure, something he did in Arkansas as Governor. This positive step will create jobs, good, paying jobs for Americans.

Mike Huckabee is a social conservative and a fiscal pragmatist. It would be rather refreshing to have a leader such as Mike Huckabee sitting in the White House; someone with a great sense of humor and who can communicate and connect with the American people.

I support Mike Huckabee for President of the United States.

The astonishing disclosure that Huckabee usually eats his chicken broiled clearly has to hurt him with the fried chicken crowd!

This statement is going to haunt him for weeks. It will take more than few town hall meetings to clarify his position.

He''s going to have to demand special "Southern fried" preparation from now on for the entree at every chicken-dinner fundraiser he attends.

I just hope his gallbladder is up to the task.

Omigosh - I cannot believe the commenters taking this article seriously. It is so obvious that he is joking what is the matter with you people?

What gripes me about this article is not that I don''t enjoy Huckabee''s sense of humor, but he has so much of substance to say and the media just totally ignores it - to the delight of all his bashers out there who would prefer people to believe that he has no substance.

He just posted an article on the value of & need for an improved infrastructure for our country, for example - where is the media coverage on that?

Seek the truth - mikehuckabee.com and hucksarmy.com
