- You''ve got to be kidding me Huckster! Now you''ve proven you''re not only a liberal in fake Christian''s clothing and ill-informed on current events, but you lie and run an ad that''s negative right after you said you wouldn''t. YOU BE HONEST HUCKABEE!!
A. You don''t have the money to run the ad so you go the cheap route by pitching it at a press conference.
B.The allegations are true and your too sheepish to go all out to defend yourself against the truth! This guy is a fake people! He''s exploiting his religion to get Iowa. Not to mention he''s got the worst record imaginable! - Reply to this comment
- Huck is a pro at playing with free press. He has zeroed in on the press attacking Romney''s so called negative ads. He then plays on this by saying he has taken the higher ground by canceling a negative ad of his own against his staff''s and or advisor''s wisdom that he run them. If he was sincere he should have taken the higher ground by ''saying nothing at all''. Voters will see through this! It''s just one step below pandering and you guys, the press, allowed it to happen.

- So the new theme for Huckabee is Romney has sold his evil Mormon soul to Jesus''s brother the devil? And he being above that , and presumably a sanctified holy man, will "not sell his soul to gain the whole world". Thanks for that Huckabee it''s been about a half hour since you made me last gag

- MIKE HUCKABEE ANTI-WOMEN
FACT: Mike Huckabee, an ordained Baptist Minister of the Southern Baptist Convention, has been asked about his support of the Southern Baptist Convention''s statement of beliefs on marriage. The former Arkansas governor and his wife Janet signed a full-page ad in USA Today in support of the statement with 129 other evangelical leaders in 1998.
"A wife is to submit graciously to the servant leadership of her husband even as the church willingly submits to the headship of Christ," the convention says in its statement of faith. Baptist Press reported that the 1998 ad was addressed to denomination leaders and said: "You are right because you called wives to graciously submit to their husband''s sacrificial leadership."

MIKE HUCKABEE IS MAD BECAUSE IT IS TRUE..
The so-called "Negative Ads" are not "Negative" they are contrast ads that state factual information about Huckabees record as the governor of Arkansas.
All of the contrast statements in the ads include the source of each of the statements.
Instead of addressing the statements about his record Mike Huckabee resorts to name calling.
MIKE HUCKABEE A FISCAL CONSERVATIVE

- P.S.: Why don''t we let Iowans decide if they thought it was confusing. I have a feeling they understand how difficult it is to resist the human need to defend and retaliate. Huckabee made the right decision.

- dshoup3: I agree ... let''s hear a one-on-one discussion before the Iowa caucus. Unfortunately, Romney won''t do it because typical of a schoolyard bully, he can call names and make up facts, but when confronted, he''ll fold and run.

- I''m a little disappointed that Huckabee decided to hold off on the answers to Romney''s "facts" in his attack ads. Romney rips things out of context .... or just makes them up .... and then repeats them enough that people start to think they''re true. It would have been nice to hear the record set straight. Still, I have to respect Huckabee''s decision to hold his fire. Must have been hard. Not sure I could have done it.

- So wacko-Huck is asking for a one-on-one with Romney? If this is true, this is wonderful for Romney. Most of Huck''s campaign has been waged under the radar. This would force him to put his cards on the table. Will he call Romney dishonest to his face? You can bet Romney will force him to explain exactly what is dishonest about telling Iowans about Huck''s tax increases, benefits for illegals and 1,000 plus pardons. Give Romney credit that he hasn''t dragged Huck''s ethical violations through the mud. Will Huck have more bigoted slurs/questions about Romney''s church? Face to face Iowans will see that Romney is the future of America and is much more substantive than the guy who dropped out of theology school.

- Huckabee is totally off balance. His machinery is falling apart. The homeschoolers have discovered he is endorsed by the teachers union. The evangelicals are starting to understand he is the wrong guy on many of their "other" important issues. Iowans don''t like to be duped and his tricks (like this stupid press conference) have people scratching their heads. Romney''s ads are about Huck''s horrible record. Huck makes a nasty personal attack ad and then has a panic attack because he know''s it is wrong. Bottom line, Huck''s record still sucks.

- OK Romney, time to put up or shut up! Mike Huckabee has asked you for a last one on one discussion before the Iowa caucus. Just you and him%u2026. Are you ready to defend your allegations against Huckabee or hind under your desk?
