"We look upon authority too often and focus over and over again, for 30 or 40 or 50 years, as if there is something wrong with authority. We see only the oppressive side of authority. Maybe it comes out of our history and our background. What we don"t see is that freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be anything they can be. Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do."

Is Ron Paul a Republican? Back in 1976 (when Giuliani was still a Democrat) Ron Paul was one of only six Republican congressmen to endorse the "unelectable" Ronald Reagan. Throughout history, there have been many "Ron Paul Republicans" including Rep. Charles A Lindbergh Sr., Rep. Howard Buffet, Sen. William E. Borah and Sen. Robert A. Taft.

I never even wanted to "think" about voting again. It doesn''t do any good, they are all the same. And they still are!

All except one, Ron Paul, he knows what this country SHOULD be about!

Have fun voting for Oprah, or Bill''s wife, or even Rudolph the red nosed reindeer!

It isn''t really a question of Republican or Democrat, it''s a question of principles. We have in RudyMcRomney
barely controlled rage, flip flopping that if followed can result in whiplash, and a big, bigger, biggest government wolf in sheep''s clothing. Never mind the creepy, folksy act of one of the most tax happy governors in recent history. You know, the one who wants to tax the internet.

The choice is between freedom or more covert controls, monopoly money, endless war, loss of privacy and deceit at every level of government. Dancing on the grave of The Constitution isn''t pretty and it isn''t smart.

sorry for the repeat posts. the website said that my comment was too long, so I kept shortening it and didn''t realize it was published.

Did you know Giuliani in late 2001 tried to circumvent the NYC Charter and extend his term due to the 9/11/01 emergency?! He said that only he could handle the city in 2002. Bloomberg and the constitution prevailed, though, and both are doing fine with Rudolph out of the picture.

Republican and Democrat is a false dichotomy rallying bases to eke victories and minimize risk to parties and corporate backers. Parties are money-hungry, since our ''free public'' airwaves cost so much.

The issue isn''t party, meaningless to most Americans. The issue is whether you are for the constitution. Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are the only candidates for the Constitution

Bravo to Paul supporters calling Ghouliani on his lack of popular support and democratic bona fides. As a New Yorker, I am aware of his contempt for the 1st Amendment; how self-aggrandizing, offensive and abrasive he is; how he profited from his mistakes making the 9/11/01 attacks far worse than they had to be, despite warnings from commissions and commissioners since 1994.

Giuliani is a blame-shifter who%u2019d take credit for a sunny day if he could.

He has Arab oil clients paying him millions of dollars, yet he''s pro-Zionist. He refused a sheikh''s 9/11/01 grant for NYC when he linked the attacks to US policy, but Giuliani''s fine with taking Pat Robertson''s support, even though he linked the attacks to NYC''s moral degradation.

Giuliani repeatedly blamed cop-killed victims. He cut non-profits%u2019 private & public funding for daring to do anything that he disliked, especially criticism; he banned protests, even City Council press conferences, from City Hall.

Giuliani makes Bush2 look good!
