Bill Geist Brings Us An Awards Extravaganza Unthreatened By The Writers' Strike
Perhaps the CBS Anchorwoman would have been better suited to do this story.
Yeah, she could have done it topless or have her nipples showing during the report.
You folks at CBS are really troubling.
Get a grip on REAL news.
People are watching and shaking their head in your sad display of poor, very poor taste.
Get Katie a tampoon for your Sunday morning fodder.
It isn''t funny, and it isn''t news.- Reply to this comment
- I am very disappointed in the choice of "stories" you chose to air on CBS, especially on a Sunday morning. You glamorized the porn industry and passed a long a sad message to young women who are in search of a career. I spend much time trying to teach my own children and my fifth grade students that education is important, but why should any girl need an education as long as she is pretty and can give up something as precious as her body and make a career of it? While my beliefs tell me that pornography is wrong for many reasons, I do believe in the freedom of speech. I also monitor what my children view. But don''t you think you could have found a more appropriate time to air this story other than on a Sunday morning?

- Don''t blame the media because your daughter is a cheap *** hooked on heroin.

- I think CBSNews ROCKS!! I love the way they are willing to go out on a limb and cover stories that no one else will bother to take a look at. I think CBSNews is also the leader in covering the Political stories. CBS News is about great journalism, and honest reporting....it isn''t about pleasing a particular demographic. CBS is by far the number 1 source for news here in Nashville, Tn. I also love Katie Couric and how she reports just like she is a neighbor down the street or someone you know personally. There are a lot of stories we dont like to watch such as things involving bloodshed or child abuse, or any other issues graphic in nature. I would much rather entertain a story on porn than some of the atrocities and death we see daqily in Iraq, that is what truly hurts my heart. CBS News you ROCK!! Keep up the good work!!! - I am extremely disappointed in this story and the CBS would permit it on their program, let alone on a Sunday morning, if one can actually call this a story. I am trying to raise my daughter to realize that beauty is not everything and that she should be a morally decent person and that she can obtain success through avenues that don''t involve our looks, but involve using our minds. All a young girl saw in your story today were beautiful women using such filthy language they had to be bleeped three or four time in one sentence. They saw designer dresses and a glamorous lifestyle. You spent the entire segment glamorizing the porn industry. Why should a young girl worry about getting an education when she can make a career out of giving up, on a regular basis, something as precious as her body? I feel that you gave the wrong impression to many young girls who may have been watching your show this morning. Like another who responded, I also feel that there could have been a more appropriate time for this filthy segment of "news".

- Not having seen the report, because I switched because my 8 yr old was in the room, can the people who compalined so much about it tell me what offended them so much they couldn''t change the channel?
Can I ask another question, and answer honstly, how many of you watch the crime shows and "ripped from the headlines" shows like 48 hrs, etc detailing someone''s horror of murder rape or other such really disgusting programming?
Answer honestly. Is the porn industry worse than that? Can you honestly say with a clear conscience it''s ok to watch crime drama and then complain about the adult industry?
There are other segments of the Sunday Morning that I have had to turn off in front of my 8 yr old, too. But that''s just being responsible.
Personally, I''d rather have my kid hear about oral copulation than Oral Roberts. - Reply to this comment
- I''m disgusted. I finally found a program I really enjoy. I mean, I get out of bed on Sunday morning to watch this show! And this morning''s show disappointed me twice. First the camera''s crotch-shots of the pole dancers (thank goodness the women were actually clothed, but STILL ....) and then the stupid story on the porn stars. I guess I thought Bill Geist had better taste than this. For the first time on a Sunday Morning program, I had to change the channel. You blew it, this morning, CBS, and you owe your audience an apology.
