What's the difference between Madoff's little scheme and AIG's??? Somebody please explain this to me. The Financial Products division of AIG sold insurance without the ability to pay out potential claims for losses. Why aren't there people going form AIG to prison?

strangely ... this all correlates to the reduction in the consumption of potato chips as well ... especially the ridged variety.

it's hard to say for sure ... but i think this is the cause of all our problems ... i mean ... it was coincident in time with the downturn and all ... and the republican ideology doesn't let me think for myself ... so this 'must' be it.

There's a saying that goes "A true leader walks his talk." President Obama...you need to walk your talk. Of course you already know that, but what can (will) you do? You promised to help the middle class, but that is not happening and I wonder if it will ever happen. I would have to work for 65 years to earn $1,000,000 at my current salary. These corporate leaders are so much better than me, aren't they?

aig employees has a moral responsibility to turn down bonuses.
they should realize that for their personal gains how many people in this world have gave away part of their dream. how would they react if, they wery specially taxed.
public anger will hurt their business in future that, they do not see, unless they have decided to take this fine company to ground. Federal government did not have any thing in their contract to help aig. they could have lost all those binding contracts if aig had to file bankrupcy.still its not too late.
Ask any small business owner, how much they secrify for little gain, if it happens.

kicking and sceaming about the deficit ... like a two year old who doesn't get his way!

i understand all about the deficit ... the one that was almost completely the work of republican administrations ... most notably reagan and gwb.

it turns out that the current financial crisis is also almost completely the work of republicans ... with their same deficit spending ... 'don't need to actually have any money for it' attitude that permeates all their policies. add this to their 'no regulation is best' mantra's ... and you have complete malfeasance.

of course ... i'd assume you'd say it's all chris dodd and barney frank's fault.
