There is no doubt in my mind the GOP purposely misused and abused Sarah Palin. She was a token selected and the powers that be got upset when she went her own way. The media had already elected Obama and in every one of Obama''s races his competition was eliminated one way or another. Sarah was Obama''s competition, not Hillary and Not McCain. He had already stomped Biden down. The votes he needed were the educated and educated female votes. He got them by trashing Sarah and her family and laughing out loud when the press crucified her and used other female jealousy against her. Yes, she''s gun shy in the Alaska Legislature right now. Who wouldn''t be after going through what she did? A strong and capable woman was stoned to death by Americans. And you think the Muslims are bad? My son in law said early in 2008 that Americans would elect a black man before a woman. I had to agree. Even in this country the historical facts are, the negro male slave received voting rights before any woman. The civil rights provided equality for the black and brown race, but we women still do not have equality. Leave Sarah alone.

It''s typical of Sarah Palin (and many other politicians too GOP and DEM)to blame everyone else for her shortcomings. Like she''s blaming Couric,Fey and the McCain campaign for mishandling her.

Please let her run in 2012. please please please please!!!! I suspect we''ll need a good laugh then too.

What''ll happen is this: Obama and the Dems will succeed in getting the economy revved up, but with a large U.S. budget deficit.

A Repub will take up Newt Gingrich''s mantle and get a Repub majority elected in one or both national-level houses.

We''ll have a good-looking national economy with a balanced budget.

Then the Repubs will trump up some charges against the Dem President and we''ll end up with some airhead religious zealot as Pres and both houses controlled by Repubs.

Then the Repubs will once again try to create a ''permanent majority''...

And it''ll be Emperor George Bush the Minor all over again.

"The result of all this scrutiny and second-guessing, says one Republican ally, is that ''the governor has been feeling beaten up.''

Gee, she ran for VP and gave several atrocious interviews, why would she be subject to scrutiny and second-guessing?

"The Note reported over the weekend that in planning for their annual winter retreat, House Republicans %u201Cextended an invitation to Alaska Gov. Sara Palin, hoping the party%u2019s 2008 vice presidential nominee would give a morale-building speech.%u201D Palin declined the invitation because %u201Cpressing state business made it impossible for her to leave Alaska.%u201D Her excuse, however, was a lie:

So where is Palin this weekend? She%u2019s in Washington, D.C., attending the super-elite Alfalfa Dinner.

%u201CShe lied to us,%u201D said a Republican at the retreat.

Asked why Palin told the Republicans she could not leave Alaska this weekend, Palin spokesman Bill McAllister offered this non-responsive answer:

%u201CMy understanding is that the governor has not scheduled any partisan events on her current trip to D.C.,%u201D McAllister told ABC News."

I guess the reporter should have finished the part where he went person to person in the room and asked them the same question.....either you get it or you don''t.

They all need to leave her alone...she''s never going to be satisfactory material for a campaign...ever. She may be a nice enough person, I don''t know....although to hear so many talk they know her intimately and feel qualified in discussing every aspect of her life. But she is not presidential/vice presidential material. But she has established a suitable platform for judging any other female that steps forward...apparently...anything goes when it comes to vetting women.

Palin is third rate, perfect to be leader of the GOP. The GOP loves to ram moral issues down everybody''s throats but hates to have finances messed with. They would have been right at home in Salem during the witch trials.

If the Republicans are going to offer her as a candidate to run against Mr. Obama in 3 years they are in big trouble.

"Would the governor, a smiling Stevens asked, like to share some of her plans and proposals for the coming legislative session?

Palin looked around the room and paused, according to several senators present. "I feel like you guys are always trying to put me on the spot," she said finally, as the room became silent. "

What did she think the retreat would be about - wolf hunting? This is too funny!
