Washington Post: Alaska's Governor, Former GOP VP Candidate, Has Been Forced To Deal With Campaign Trail Fallout
- COURIC: Why did the chicken cross the road?
PALIN: You know, Katie, I said thanks but no thanks to that road to nowhere. I told congress if the chicken needed a road to cross, we'd build it ourselves. As a Mayor and Governor of Alaska I have executive experience managing chicken coops. And as you know, up here in Alaska, I can see the other side of the road from my house. And when that chicken, you know, raises its head and walks across the road into, you know, our airspace then its all about reform and lower taxes. And that's why in a Palin/McCain administration, we like democracies and want freedom for all chickens. But we should never second-guess Israel if they wanted to send their chickens across the road. And it's about jobs too...jobs and chickens. - Reply to this comment

Then we have Ms Pelosi - single handly driving the US into the ground faster than anyone can imagine. I would prefer she would shut-up and retire for one. - Reply to this comment
- Oh, great! The republican "right" is asking us to expand our hate. Why? Because, it is all you know?
And about Russia.... Palin has never seen it. Even after 911, homeland security and orange alerts, the people of Russia and America can visit each other''s country without a passport...the way it should be for all countries. Peace is more easily achieved through goodwill and cooperation, not occupation and demonization. But I digress.... - Reply to this comment
- The Left may knock out Palin but Obama will have to face a Bobby Jindal. Just like the Right knocked out Hillary and ended up getting Obama. YOU LEFTIES may knock out Palin but Bobby Jindal is farther Right then you all are ready for. You guys better expand your hate because the Republicans you fail to knock out will end up knocking you guys out!

- I don''t blame the people of Alaska for being fed up. If she were the governor of my state I would at least expect her to attend to the business at hand before she goes running around telling everyone how wonderful she is. Some one needs to sit her down ad ask her what she wants to be an elected official or a TV personality.

- Maybe the next time Palin is in Washington. She will have the wisdom to watch what she says. And who she is saying it to, and about.

- To be fair, she just wasn''t prepared to run for Vice President. Governor of Alaska sure, why not. It''s not like she''s required to know anything outside of the state. I mean when Katie Couric asked her to name the news papers she reads, she looked like a deer in headlights. She should go back to counting the Russians from her front porch. I mean does she even pay attention to what people are saying to her. Like when those two disc jockeys called her with fake french accents. One of them congratulates her on her new film, nailin Palin. And she says thank you very much.????
