The very first paragraph of this story that says blacks face higher execution rates is just plain out wrong. Get your facts straight. A national study (NYT Feb 14 2004) found that blacks are UNDERrepresented on death row, committing 51.5 percent of all murders but constitute only 42 percent of all death row inmates. Whites actually face a higher death conviction rate than blacks do.

"Some nooses" ok I am not even goign to dignify that w/ a response beyond hoping that nooses and African American is equated to Jews and gas chambers. It is not some practical joke. In the eyes of black people (especially in the south) a noose is an over threat of violence. They got off because not just the marchers but the nation was outraged by the act. And I don''t expect you to understand any of this but that is the view from the other side of this issue.

Actually it was meeting racism w/ violence. The 6 youths didn''''t just go out and pick a random white kid. Once again you tend to miss that point. They targeted one of the people who hung the noose from the tree. As for advocating violence against racism? Yes I am good w/ that. It is 2009 if you haven''''t gotten the message at this point that there is no place in our society for racism then yes... You get what you deserve. I honestly beleive that the KKK, Aryan Nation, New Black Panther Party, White Seperatists, nation of Islam, etc. should be veiwed as Terrorist groups have their properties seized and leaders jailed.
