Washington Post: Some Public Figures Display Open Scorn, While Others Make Unintentional Racial Blunders
- These men are just self conscious and jealous. Maybe they were bullied as children and are not man enough to better with their own positions in life, but alas it is so sad to see that they will leave this earth with this disgusting quotes. Thank goodness they do not speak for all of us.

- Wake up America we have to stand behind our President. Let it be known to all the world that we have spoken as Americans and we as Americans have chosen our President to lead this great country of ours.

Hmmmm, where was this sentiment when Bush was elected?
How many said, "He''s not MY president?" - Reply to this comment
- Looking at a man''s merit right past the color of his skin is what this Country did on election day. I am very, very proud of my Country, I grew up during the sixties and was witness to racial unrest, this is a tremendous and historic time in our lives and all I can say is it''s about time!!@!

I''m not calling you a racist because you disagree with me. I''m calling you a racist based on your racist comments. - Reply to this comment

1. Obama made no such announcement and I frankly think Bush made a huge mistake with his tax deferments (can''t say tax cuts when you borrow money to do it) in the early 2000s.
2. You are blaming Clinton for not getting healthcare reform passed? You''ve got to be kiddin'' me. Maybe you are 18 years old and don''t know what happened then. That''s the only explanation that I have for your naive and wrong-headed conclusion. - Reply to this comment
- Don''t called someone RACIST because they disagree with you - that making an attempt to manulipulate their view.

One of thing, it was a big deal when JFK ran for president as he was a catholic and that was a first. Now, nobody pays much attention. Obama has made a first but it is hoped that 100 years from now a president being black or any other thing will not mean much because it will just be like any other possibility. That''s move us in the right direction, but today is a first step. - Reply to this comment
- Wow, what a fuss because of some stupid big mouths... I''m european, and very proud of it, and I like Obama. But the way you americans judge all Europe because of fascist *** that aren''t even liked by their citizens... Racists? I thought the ones who planned to kill Obama were americans, unless Tennessee and Arkansas are european states... Racist and brainless people are everywhere. They won''t dissappear by only wishing it. But you can''t accuse to a whole continent just because of it, because then who is really being xenophobic here?

There is no double standard. Blacks have been forced to put race in front of everything since the arrived and it even got worse after slavery. Most blacks were excited about Obama because they thought it might be proof that some white folks have gotten over the race issue by being able to elect a black person as a leader of not blacks but ALL AMERICANS. This is a positive. It gave hope that we as a nation are really moving to a color-blind society and even the small black child can aspire one day to be president and it would be more than a pipe dream.
What you are advocating is something COMPLETELY different. You are holding onto something not based on bringing us together but trying to separate us. You are hanging onto the coat-strings of your race, not as a way to unite, but as a way to divide. - Reply to this comment
- "...Plain and simple. Europeans are jealousy of our democracy. They can''''t get close to it. That''''s why we have been and will always be No.1. The United States of America! ..."
This is really unfair. Most Europeans are disgusted with these racist comments. And it is likely that the politicians that are making them will see their careers shortened, now that they are out of the closet.
How would you like it if Europeans judged everyone in the US by our President George Bush?
The only good thing about all this is that it is exposing these snakes that are making these comments. - Reply to this comment
- double standard in here - you all SCREAM about obama being Black and its wonderful and then you tell me not to mention RACE give me a break. Dont you see your own double standard!

It would be nice if people put Country First. But, they don''t. They put old, out-dated, long-discredited ideas above anything else.
Race is just a matter of living in certain environments for a long time. We are still evolving. Man''s ability to adapt, what should be viewed as a gift, has turned in a way to divide each other. The heart and soul are the same color and that''s all that should matter. - Reply to this comment
- scienceman1,
This has nothing to do with race. If you don''t accept the bad, you can''t accept the good. INDIVIDUALS OF ALL RACES helped this world. YOU DIDN''T DO ANYTHING and DON''T DESERVE ANY CREDIT FOR ANYTHING! - Reply to this comment
- Read me comment - i didn''t say i invented anything stupid! My race did!

- Why shouldn''t Europe follow Sarah Palin''s lead? She incited hate and fear toward another human being in her rallies. The Palin followers came out of her rallies using the N word, why because she incited the hatred in their hearts. Why worry about Europe, worry about the people in our own backyard. If Palin would have spoke of the issues and the crisis facing our nation, instead of instilling fear, other countries might be more respectful of America''s choice. But Sarah Palin did it, why shouldn''t they follow Sarah Palin''s lead. America has spoken, if you allow Europe to forge a negative view of our President, than you are not American and are not putting Country First. Wake up America we have to stand behind our President. Let it be known to all the world that we have spoken as Americans and we as Americans have chosen our President to lead this great country of ours.

What did you invent?
Here is one hint: if you don''t want to take responsibilities for everything anyone has done wrong in your race (for example, slavery or genocides, etc.) that is fair. You will say, YOU DIDN''T DO IT.
Well, the same is true in reverse.
You can''t take credit for anything YOU DIDN''T DO. - Reply to this comment
