New Administration May Open Talks With Iran, Plans To Reinvigorate Hunt For Bin Laden
- if the left wing would stop standing in the way of ANWAR we might see even bigger drops...BTW Canada has enough oil shale to power the North American continent into the next century...NOT one action by our "NEW" demotard congress has been responsible for the MOST recent drops in fuel prices...
Posted by pelosilover
Ruining ANWAR would provide the oil equivalent of a **** in the bucket. Oil shale has lots going for it except for the difficulty of getting it out of the rock it''s in. At present it costs around $50 a barrel to get shale oil - when the price was $140, that was attractive, now it''s back down to $60 not so attreactive. - Reply to this comment
- How many times does Obama have to flup flop on issues befor America wakes up to this empty shirt?

- But you''''ve got yours, right, to hell with the ones that don''''t get a dime!
Posted by FromTexwLove
If you don''t get a dime, I''d say two things. Either you don''t have a job - in which case get off your lazy butt and get one (as you righties are so prone to say), or you''re not valuable enough to your employer for them to help - in which case you should have stayed in school so you couuld get a better job (as you righties a so prone to say). In either case, Obama''s plan costs me a hell of a lot less than Mc.Cain''s so I voted for him (amongst 1,001 other reasons). - Reply to this comment

- usclimey -- specifically, what have the dummy democrats done to lower the gas prices?
Posted by poopnuts1111
Nothing. But y''all were blaming democrats for the rise in prices a couple of months ago, so if we take debit for the rise, we''ll take credit for the drop. - Reply to this comment
- Actually they started dropping when we started promoting drill our own oil...as a matter of fact they started dropping just a couple of weeks after.
Posted by FromTexwLove
a) I stand by my previous statement.
b) It''s generaly agreed amongst those without the right wing indoctrination that thea mount of oil we could produce would cause about a 2c drop in the price of gas at the pump. How do you account for the fact it''s dropped by over 50%? - Reply to this comment

- Percentage VOTES by young voters (meaning under age 30) who voted this election: 17%
In the previous two prez elections: 16%
wow what an increase!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Posted by pelosilover
the increase was in the number that voted for the democrat. They are largely credited with being the sector that pushed Obama over the top as most libs point out to anyone says that it was the never voted before blacks that did it. - Reply to this comment
- And you TRASHED the man who offered your $2500/$5000 to help you pay your insurance premiums!
Posted by FromTexwLove
Wow, gee thanks. My premiums with my companies help are just under $1000 per year with a $2000 deductible. This is for a $15,000 policy for me and my family. Under the Mc.Cain plan I''d wind up paying $10,000 out of pocket plus the $2000 deductible. Also, McCain was not offering pre-existing conditions. Since my wife has MS - she''d be essentially unemployable. Thus, for me Mc.Cain''s plan was like having no insurance at all. - Reply to this comment
- Notice how libtard math is ALWAYS way the F off from the actual numbers? Notice how Iraq has settled down and GAS prices have dropped like a rock?
Posted by pelosilover at 01:44 PM : Nov 11, 2008
But they''ve only dropped like a rock since the democrats have been in charge of Congress. - Reply to this comment
- There is no simple or easy way out of either Iraq or Afghanistan, while many of their neighbors are contributing to destablizing efforts. Without active diplomatic missions in Syria or Iran, little hope for leaving Iraq intact exists. The dividing of Iraqi Sunni, Shia and Kurd territorries gave Syria and Iran an appetite for conquering to gain more power and territory, but Turkey clearly resisted the idea of an independant Kurdish state.
In short, we are the mercy of Iraqi''s hostile neighbors and victims of our own passion to win. Israel is watching to learn and predict what we will do if a similar war scenario leaves their country vulnerable to ineffective USA foreign policy or resolve. - Reply to this comment
- DHL closing, is going to KILL the Ohio city where they''''''''re located.
That''''''''s their own fault for voting for Bush in 2004.
Maybe next time they''''''''ll put their economic survival first, and vote democrat across the board.

Michigan has a democratic governor that believed in taxing cooporations to make everything better. How has that gone for them? You dems think you can fix everyting with taxing the rich and pandering to the middle class.
We will see what the next four years bring, but we all know if everything goes good Obama will be the man. And if it goes bad it will still be Bush''''s fault.

The USA can not compete in a Global Economy without controls in place to protect Americans, our standard of living is too high compared to poorer countries. There is no way an American worker can compete with a poor Chinese or Mexican worker for example doing the same job for $2.00 a day and happy to get $2.00 a day with no benefits working 14 hour days or longer. If American companies have the option to ship American jobs overseas cheaper they will and Obama has figured out that if American companies do that they will be penalized. The USA competing in a Global Economy with no controls in place was a disaster for the American Middle Class waiting to happen. - Reply to this comment
- If we wanted to, could we have left the region after the 1998 bombing campaign or the signing of the Iraqi Liberation Act, that we CANNOT do now?

Actually we have been in the region for 40 years and no, we can''t just leave it ever. - Reply to this comment
- keep ignoring history as it pertains to the present - it''''s what libtards are really good at...!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It,s not that they are ignoring it. Most of the hordes of young voters that flocked to the great orator weren''t alive during the relevant history and don''t understand. A president elected out of ignorance. Just great. - Reply to this comment
- Ol tex, I thought Republicans hated hand outs??? But when they screw their business up with poor decisions they are the first ones out there with their hand out.

Actually even though Bush asked for it, it was the democrat controled congress that passed it. No bailout is what I would have preffered but that would have been much worse on the economy. - Reply to this comment
