We need to just leave and leave them alone. Worry about America and secure our homeland.

You must realize that an isolationist posture will not keep us out of world affairs. We tried it when WWII started and as a result we were attacked by the Japanese and drug into the war anyway.

Obama''s acceptance speach should read: I hearby take the oath of "president of the unites states of France", as he is most certainly going to take us down that path.

We''''re in two wars now. The difference is the one we should have kept our resources in is going badly because we got distracted with Iraq.

Let''s try this again. What is fairly obvious is that the current Administration did not want to escalate the war in Afghanistan. The Administration did not want to get Pakistan angry with us and escalate the situation. The Obama Administration, and the Democrats, want to escalate the war in Afghanistan immediately before removing troops from Iraq.

Both are actually just police forces compared with Wars that the U.S. have been involved considering forces and casualties. The problem is that troop morale under an Obama Administration will be so low that they will be forced to draft to obtain their objectives.

The fact is that many voted for peace, when reality is that we will see the continued slight decline of troop strength in Iraq, with an immediate need of deployment of troops against the Taliban and Bin Laden.

During the primary, Obama initially promised to bring U.S. troops home from Iraq within a year of taking office. No ifs, ands, or buts -- Obama said he would bring them home. We know now the he lied.

Later, Obama waffled and changed the timeframe to getting U.S. troops home in about 16 to 18 months after taking office. Once again, Obama lied.

After the primary was over, Obama waffled once again and stated that the troops (2 or 3 brigades for now, but that will probably change, too) will simply be redeployed to Afghanistan. Now, that the election is over, we are finally getting closer to the real truth.

The argument that we should have been in Afghanistan in the first place does not apply because Obama did not reference the validity of Iraq versus Afghanistan in his campaign promises.

The Obama/Biden backpedal will continue as the cost of his parabolic increases in government programs, spending, and debt emerge in the first few months.

Americans will the see a multitude of "revisions" of the Obama campaign lies as the reality of Obama intention and ability to perform emerges.

The Welfare States of Socialism...

You might not know this, but not ONE of them was a commander-in-chief, BEFORE they became president.

(You might not know this as well, but "commander-in-chief" is another term for president! You can''''''''t have "presidnetial experience" until you ARE the president!!)
--------
You might not know this "commander-in-chief" has several definitions. Here is one: A commander-in-chief is the commander of a nation''s military forces or significant element of those forces. ." The title commander-in-chief has been used from time to time to refer to powerful regional U.S. military leaders (such as CENTCOM), but the United States abolished all local commands-in-chief in 2002. Each person that I named served as President prior to 2002. Additionally, The governors of the states are also commanders-in-chief of their states'' respective National Guard and other military forces, except when those forces are called into active federal service. Technically, I am far more correct thay your were IwasHungry68.

Open up talks to the Taliban?...I''m sorry but I''ve seen waaaay too much footage of innocent women being shot in the back of the head by this group..as well as the killing of teachers and burning of schools and historical artifacts..The Taliban are a ruthless gang of obsolete religious zealots...give them an inch and they will take a light year..The Taliban are brutal...plain and simple...They do not deserve a dialogue with anybody.

We are going to be in two wars rather than one at the same time. Not only that, but troop morale will be very low in an Obama Presidency and he will not be able to maintain troop forces unless we draft.

The way I looked at this issue was that one of the reasons the Left was voting for President Elect Obama was to get us out of Iraq. The problem with President Obama''s and the Congressional Democrats is that they want us to get out of Iraq so we could focus on the Taliban. We are not going to get out of Iraq on President Elect Obama''s time table for months more. We are going to be in two wars rather than one at the same time. Not only that, but troop morale will be very low in an Obama Presidency and he will not be able to maintain troop forces unless we draft.

If this is true,"Obama, advisers said, plans to intensify the U.S. military and intelligence focus on al-Qaeda and bin Laden" I guess that means we''re going to war in Pakistan! I feel like we''re playing "wack a mole" with Osama Bin Ladin. Why don''t we just leave Iraq, Afganistan, and Pakistan and secure our homeland. We''re getting nowhere fast. The war has been going on for 7 long years. It''s becoming the longest war we ever engaged in. We will never "win" a war over there. It can''t be done. We don''t even know what victory means- democracy? self government? If the Taliban wins an election like Hamas did in Palistine, and they have self government, will we be happy with that? I don''t think so. We want the oil and control and we''re acting like an empire builder.
We need to just leave and leave them alone. Worry about America and secure our homeland.

Simple solution on health care costs. Outlaw any forms of health insurance. Prices will drop immediately.

Insureance is the devilment of modern life. It long ago ceased to "spread the risk" and became a money-making enterprise. Once, a long time ago, insurance companies contributed to the reduction of risk/loss by making "best practices". That''s gone. They just take premiums and hope that they cover the loss; if they don''t the seek tax-payer bailouts.

OUTLAW insurance except on capital loss and you will eliminate large lawsuits and risky behavior.

The ''''righties'''' need to suck it up and give Obama a chance before rejecting him out-of-hand. The ''''lefties'''' need to show a little grace and restraint in their ''''I-told-you-so'''' commentaries.

For those who just can''''t comment without being nasty - left or right - you''''re all gonna die of stress related illnesses.

Yeah right...when the majority of employers in this country are small businesses that can''''t afford to pay insurance premiums...

Please keep telling your neighbors who work for small businesses without insurance help how PROUD you are to be hired by one and get much of you insurance premiums paid by your employer. And let them tell you THANK YOU for doing them out of $2500/$5000 help paying their premiums.

I still say that when insurance for a family is $15,000 per year - taking off 2,500 to $5,000 in tax breaks doesn''t make it a whole lot more affordable. You''re going to love me for this one - if you really want fair health costs, socialized medicine (or if not socialized insurance) is the way to go. It might not be the greatest, but it''s the only way to get 74 million people insured who are not right now.
