Gun control has proven to be the third rail of politics. The democrats found that out the hard way a few years back. They may talk gun control, but why would they want to p1ss off that many gun owners? They are not that stupid. Conniving yes; stupid no.

The NRA thanks you .. their hysterical pandering for the gun manufacturers have you spending your ever decreasing money on a useless item. Have you seen most of these "gun enthusiasts" who sound so self-righteous when they speak of defending our "way of life?" Most are so obese and out of shape they would last 5 minutes in a combat situation. Also has anyone explained to them they don''t get to go home or to a Holiday Inn at night during this make believe upcoming conflict?

Most police officers NEVER fire their guns during their careers; why citizens fool themselves into thinking they are in more danger than police astounds me. I have no problem with guns for self-protection, hunting, or sport; but they only need to be sufficient in power for the task they are supposed to do. Semi and full atomatic guns and rifles don''t really have a place in a civilized society. Exactly how many guns do you actually need for protection? Why does registration really scare gun owners so much?

Folks, there are aprox. 300,000,000 people in the USA. There are also aprox. 300,000,000 guns. Several studies have shown that 1/2 of all households have at least one gun. Some have several. With the economy in the shape it is in, don''t you think Obama will have enough on his plate without thinking about gun control? Maybe in his second term, but not the first.

Better believe that when Obama wins and I strongly believe that he will. The VERY FIRST thing I will be doing on November 5th is going to purchase my very first gun. Second thing will be going to sign up for my concealed weapons permit.

Why can''t we just give Texas to gun lovers? Then they can shoot each other up all they want with no police officers being forced to risk their lives to intervene. I hate gun nuts. We need a Constitutional Amendment to protect America''s police officers from these whackos.
