2004 - In hotly contested Ohio, Bush received 3,893 votes in a suburban Columbus precinct, even though there were just 800 voters there.

Your character attacks, lies and smears aren''t going to work this time around. They do not offer any solutions under the mess Bush left us, do they? The younger, more intelligent candidate with the better ideas is going to win. The voters aren''t going to fall for the Republicans'' tired and dirty tricks in 2008! Go Obama!!

drcool2u,

The funny thing is Bush and Co are the true radicals. McCain is now being supported by them. I suggest you learn about NEOCONSERVATIVES before this election. People have elected radicals in 2000 and 2004. Those in glass houses shouldn''t throw stones.

drcool2u,

Let''s get this straight. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Saddam was in love with himself but not a radical islamists. Iraq was a secular society and Saddam treated christians better than some muslims who he called insurgents. Women also had it much easier there BEFORE we invaded in many ways. We''ve taken over the country and given it to the friends of Iran. We''ve helped Iran by invading Iraq. Nothing more.

Education is such an important tool to prevent the government from being able to dupe people. I understand why some governments try to prevent their citizens from receiving a good one.

"We in the USA may not look at Obama as a Muslim, but the Arab Nations will.
And al-Qaeda will consider President Hussein as a victory.
He has political ties to Kenya
His father was a muslin , Muslin consider him a muslin

Wow, you''ve gone off the deep-end now. However, let''s say what you say is true. Obama wins and the Middle East is happy. No more terrorism. Where is the problem?

drcool2u,

It''s not whether somebody sucks or not. It''s about the philosophy of the party. That''s what some of you McCain supporters are missing. The TRICKLE-DOWN stuff doesn''t work. You bought with Reagan you thought somebody was getting entitlements that they didn''t deserve. They didn''t tell you that the only reason there is a middle class period is because of entitlements. The GOP has been wanting to dismantle The New Deal since it was conceived. LBJ''s War on Poverty gave them a DIVIDE AND CONQUER mechanism to do it. Get the very grandchildren of those who benefited from The New Deal to vote against the government and entitlements and thereby destroy THE MIDDLE CLASS.

WAKE UP.

drcool2u,

The GOP campaign of fear amd smear is this...throw out as much as you can about your opponent and hope something sticks. Dirty politics. That''s what it is. You''d think after 26 years in Washington, McCain would have more than this. It''s pretty telling about all that experience he claims to have.

Palin is a liar and a racist. She is 50 percent responsible for the failure of the McCain campaign; the other 50 percent is the incompetence of McCain. He lost this election when he sucked up to the hate-mongers, OReily, Limbaugh, and Hannity - Americans have rejected them for what they are - the personification of ugly hate and racism. Make sure you show up to vote for Obama, no matter how big of a landslide it appears to be.

Most of those associations are distortions and exaggerationss.

Gee, Bush is a personal friend of Bin Laden family, so what?
I dont think that makes him a terrorist.

Palin destroyed any chance poor John had.. Just thinking about the raving looneys on here for a month going nuts for Palin made me laugh,
considering they all said Obama was a cult of personality..
Palin DEFINES a cult of personality,if you can call what she has "personality": you sure as hell cant call it intelligence, ability, qualification, or anything else..
Its almost as if her very stupidity is what makes her appealing.
Im starting to think that neocons truly do hate knowledge and introspection..

Thank you Palin, for being the dead albatross around John''s neck, thereby helping a talented and dedicated American like Obama have a chance to turn this decade-long nightmare around!
God I''ll be glad when this is over, and we can stop blogging about this crapola.

John''s a great guy ,but with Palin & the platform he is stuck with,a win seems very unlikely.

I believe if Mcain really wants to shake up the last few weeks left on the campaign he has to allow Palin to step down and Romney to step up as VP if that does not get media attention nothing will.

Republicans like to shoot themselves in the foot again & again.

After months and months of attacking Obama on his experience, or lack thereof, they came up with a real gem of an idea and chose Palin with similar untested credentials.

Stupidity abounds with Republicans. Now we know why this country is in such a mess. Neo-con logic?.

It doesn''t matter if McCain comes up with some wonderful plan in the next three weeks. As long as he has Palin on the ticket, Americans won''t vote for him. These are troubled times and she just isn''t smart enough or qualified to be VP or possibly president. I get sick when I think that some people vote for the person they want to have a beer with. I vote for who I want in a meeting with world financial leaders. I will vote for the smart and educated Obama/Biden and you know what. . . . I would rather have a beer with Obama or Biden.

I am always a little bit leery of about polls because everyone said Dewey was supposed to win over Truman in 1948. That being said things do look very much like there is a very strong trend towards Obama. I am glued to Ohio, Florida, and Virginia. If any of these states swing to Obama it will be a long night for McCain and the Republicans. Obama could end up with over 350 electoral votes plus depending how many red states Obama turns blue. Good luck Mr. Obama.
