Democrats Blame McCain For Interrupting Process Of Reaching Bailout Plan Compromise
- May 2006: McCain voted against an amendment that would provide $20 million to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for health care facilities.
April 2006: McCain was one of only 13 Senators to vote against $430,000,000 for the Department of Veteran Affairs for Medical Services for outpatient care and treatment for veterans.
March 2006: McCain voted against increasing Veterans medical services funding by $1.5 billion in FY 2007 to be paid for by closing corporate tax loopholes.
March 2004: McCain once again voted for abusive tax loopholes over veterans when he voted against creating a reserve fund to allow for an increase in Veterans'' medical care by $1.8 billion by eliminating abusive tax loopholes. Jeez, McCain really loves those tax loopholes for corporations, since he voted for them over our veterans'' needs. - Reply to this comment
- John McCain skipped close to a dozen votes on Iraq, and on at least another 10 occasions, he voted against arming and equipping the troops, providing adequate rest for the troops between deployments and for health care or other benefits for veterans

- John blew it when he picked Sarah, sorry she is just not what we need. We had 8 years of a moron and we need 2 people that know what''s going on.

- NO - all Veterans do not support John McCain. Doesn''t surprise me that the fat cat generals and top military brass do. They are the only ones who have been able to access VA benefits and draw nice little cushy disability payments while thousands that truly deserve them get stonewalled by the system.

Thank you so much for those facts in writing for all the ignorant to see.If we are not in the bottom of the barrel by now, can you just imagine with a Bush Clone where we will be. WAR, WAR, we will win, we have already won how many times over, and at what cost to the youth of our land, they don''t care they are numbers, not fighting men for there beliefs of the betterment of our country, Bush and Mc Same see it as more oil.It is a disgrace how we have taken care of our wonderful fighting men, who try every day to keep us safe, and Bush, Mc Same look the other way. Can we ever forget that picture on a aircraft carrier, all dressed up in his flight suit, carrying his helmet, as if he flew in, and a big "Mission Accomplished" strung out across the ship, and guys getting blowed up, because the equipment for better Humvee''s aren''t there to help them. How many would be walking around today with arms and legs if they only had done that. You want Mc Same a man that says one thing and does another. tells his POW story every time he gets in trouble, let these great men stand up and hear their story. - Reply to this comment

- McCain has voted with Bush over 90% of the time by McCain''s own words. That is not reform that is McSame form. This big bailout has arisen because the Republicans deregulated the protections and balances out of Wall Street. McCain is a grandstander. He contributed very little to the solution for the bailout. Remember? He said he knew little about the economy...

- Quotes from McCain from his own book:
"O.K, I''ll give you military information if you will take me to the hospital."
he signed a confession and declared himself a "black criminal who performed deeds of an air pirate."
%u201CFor me, there is no longer any doubt. Things are taking place in a favorable opinion. The United States at present seems to be standing alone, so much is its isolation.%u201D
"I am a war criminal," McCain said on "60 Minutes" in 1997. "I bombed innocent women and children."
I''m one veteran that won''t support him and there are many more. - Reply to this comment

- It is incredible that in this day and age of easy fact checking that Senator McCain continues to lie and distort the truth like he does at the rally today He keeps using the "Just Plain Folks" method of propaganda every time he says "My Friends..." He is shameless.

It is okay though as most Americans have seen through the lies and distortions. Soon, he will have his butt back in Arizona and Palin will be back in Alaska where she belongs....never to be heard of again. :) - Reply to this comment

- Don''t be surprised. vets, when the sign in front of your VA Medical Center reads "Hospital Corporation of America Veterans'' Health Care". How about a Humana Vet Center?
McCain''s party has been sneering at the VA health care and benefit system as an "entitlement program" in need of privatization. If you let these peole have teir way, all the beer drinkers and flag wavers in the mainline vets'' organizations won''t bring your VA back.
For all its faults, the VA has been taking care of you guys and doing a pretty decent job of it. - Reply to this comment
- Senator McCain has been enjoying Nationalized health care since the day he was born.
First as a Navy brat.
Then as a student at Annopolis.
Then as a member of the arned forces.
Then as a Congressman
Then as a Senator.
But he doesn''t want it for our Veterans ,or any other American.
A classic case of the Repiblican "I Got Mine Disorder" ...or IGMD.
Typical......plenty of money for War.......no money for Veterans, Americans or Peace. - Reply to this comment

It will be a cold day in hell before I vote for McSame/Palin and looking at the latest polls, I think most of America agrees with me. - Reply to this comment
- My liberal friends and fellow Obama/Biden supporters, don''t agrue with these people. First, they do not have common sense or even know what it is. Secondly, they are desperate and mad at everyone (the media, the networks, the polls, the DEMs, etc.,) as they see that most of America does not think like them. What a good day this is....LOL
