Democrats Blame McCain For Interrupting Process Of Reaching Bailout Plan Compromise
- I want the two of them to discuss the issues, NOW! Senator McCain''s attempt at grandstanding backfired. He bought into Newt Gingrich''s recommendation of becomming the savior by sabotaging the process; substituting something completely ridiculous and trying to blame the other guy. Only this time it didn''t work. Senator Obama didn''t bite. But Bush did! And one can only guess how he''s going to handle this!
McCain''s actions are pure theater, no substance. The only losers here are all of the American people. - Reply to this comment

He is just going after the Bush voters. - Reply to this comment
- Anyone remember that this isn''t the first time McCain has no-showed for a debate? Think California in 2000. He canceled a scheduled debate with GW. Apparently he thinks dodging is an effective tactic. I don''t know about the rest of you, but I want a President who''s going to show up.....period. No excuses.

- This is what this country gets!! This country had this financial disaster coming!! All you rich people who supported not just the first Bush but both Bush''es. This country allowed Bush to cheat during the election and now the chickens are coming home to roost!! Dont cry now America!! Awww we want a new president. What is the new president gonna do? Huh? What? This country is so deep in debt that the next two presidents wont be able to get us out!!! The problem with this country is the people who really run this country (american citizens) or are supposed to run this country have no backbone and accepts whatever the government tells them. REVOLUTION PEOPLE!!! REVOLUTION!! If the american citizen woke up and realized how much power he or she has then this MODERN DAY SLAVERY WOULDNT TAKE PLACE!!! This man destroyed Iraq and then the american budget AND WASNT HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR ANYTHING!!!!. We are still paying this man to ruin our country even more!!!!. George Bush should have been impeached for the war in Iraq!!!! This country did nothing!!!!. This country didnt want to go to war and because one man had a grudge against another (Saddam) thousands of people lost their lives and the U.S. lost billions because of that stupid war. THAT''S WHAT THIS COUNTRY GETS FOR LETTING A RUTHLESS DICTATOR, YES DICTATOR GEORGE W. BUSH RUN THIS COUNTRY INTO THE GROUND AND NOT HAVING THE BALLS TO IMPEACH HIM!!! I DARE ANYONE TO RESPOND IN DEFENSE OF GEORGE W. BUSH!!!!

McCain wanted a bigger audience that is why he wanted Obama in his town hall meetings. Only a fool would fall for McCain''s stupidity. - Reply to this comment

- When McCain is a no-show at the debate, Obama''s video crew will take pictures of Obama on one side and an empty posium on the other side ot the stage, and the image will be DEVASTATING to the McCain campaign when it appears in Obama ads the next day. Joe Biden will have the same experience, because we know Sarah will be a no-show because she can''t memorize all the needed facts.

Maybe McCain should have read the two and half pages of the proposed bailout before stalling the negotiations. - Reply to this comment

- f McCain''s a no show, Obama can use the time as a Town Hall meeting to explain to American people all about the current financial crisis... what went wrong, and the various options to fix it. It will be a perfect opportunity to show the people Obama''s grasp of the economic situation. McCain can watch it in Washington and maybe learn something.

- Of course BO had a hand in this, that''s why he won''t return to the scene of the crime to help solve this coward.
"Of course, there are other important factors at work here, having to do with changing technology among other things. And even if the bad mortgages weren%u2019t in the system, we%u2019d still have the hangover from the end of the housing boom. But the financial system could have handled that with the usual corrections. The biggest dose of poison entered the financial bloodstream through Washington. And some people warned us. In 2005, Fannie Mae revealed it overstated earnings by $10.6 billion and that it didn%u2019t really know what was going on. The Bush administration pushed for reforms, but those efforts were rebuffed by Congress, with Democrats Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd taking point, because Fannie and Freddie have spent millions in campaign contributions."-CBS - Reply to this comment
