Democrats Blame McCain For Interrupting Process Of Reaching Bailout Plan Compromise

by louiville2 September 26, 2008 2:47 PM EDT
Neither McCain nor Obama are on the actual committees that are negotiating the details of the bailout. So McCain is just pulling a stunt to get in a few photo ops and avoid the debates.

Why is McCain running scared!

Why is Obama running scared by not returning to congress to vote for a Bi-Partisan effort to save us. Is he afraid to return to the scene of the crime he helped create? Probubly too busy plucking eyebrows. LOL

"The fine print to this noble intent was an ill-conceived loosening of standards. For instance, the Clinton administration reinterpreted the Jimmy Carter-era Community Reinvestment Act to politicize lending practices. Under the CRA, the government forced banks to prove they weren%u2019t %u201Credlining%u201D - i.e., discriminating against minorities - by approving loans to minorities and various left-wing %u201Ccommunity group%u201D shakedown artists whether they were bad risks or not. (A young Barack Obama got his start with exactly these sorts of groups.) Sen. Phil Gramm called it a vast extortion scheme against America%u2019s banks. Still, the banks were perfectly happy to pass the risky loans to Raines%u2019 Fannie Mae, which was happy to buy them up"-CBS

Why is McCain running scared?

Me thinks that this finance thing is being take serious by McCain? As a senator (What is Obama) he was elected to protect the Voters in Arizona and then the USA. His pledge was also to put Country First. This is what he is trying to do, make sure the savings and finances of us citizens are protected.

Obama??? Socialist, Marxist, Obama then Democrat Party above protecting the citizens of the United States.

Would not want all of congress to blindly fall into signing off on the Bailout plan as it is. Just do not want the Federal Government to throw $700 Billion (or portion that of) without at least having a serious and strong look at it.

How can even democrat make such a serious decision ($700 billion) in 1 day unless they know this was coming and did nothing until it go serious? Ear Marks and hidden C_RA_P in this bail out?

How will it effect the future of the country?
How will tax payers be effected by this bailout?
How high will taxes go to bailout multi-million dollar babies?
Will the companies that are being bailed out be forced to repay the full amount? If not then what percentage?
How can something (in the future) be put in place to protect the free marked while helping in this troubled time?

I have many more question but that is enough.

News just in... McCain will be attending the debate. Now will all Obama fans just calm down??

Posted by msa123 at 11:32 AM : Sep 26, 2008

You''re LATE. Some of us Obama fans already posted this about your leader McSway!! He will NOW attend because of the political winds swaying him to do so, even though NO plan has been formalized. If you are a Maverick, you stick to your guns. However, I am happy the debate will go on as scheduled.

McCooCoo has had the same reaction to debating Obama as Bush had when told about the planes hitting the WTC towers on 9/11: He defecated on himself.
They''re going to have to use a huge diaper on McCooCoo when he finally gets on stage and debates Obama.
It''s not going to be a pretty sight.

How can you people blame McCain for this? It''s very easy to research that he pointed out this very scenario years before it got to this. Tried to put a stop to it and was basically laughed at by B Frank & Dodd. The two very idiots that are now trying to blame him now for stalling the bailout. I may not be an economic genius, but I''ll take the word of McCain over Frank and Dodd anyday after seeing the statements made in 2003. How on earth did these two get on the Senate Banking Committe? The seem completely clueless to me.

I just heard over the AP that he will NOW attend the debate after all. Even though NO deal has been reached. Can we call him McSway, because he SWAYS with the political winds. No backbone. None at all. Not presidential. Don''t need 4-more years of nonsense. Aren''t we tired yet?

nomorelibs: you are exactly correct. Turn the tables and put Obama in Washington and McCain going to Mississippi. Oh dear, what would Obama''''s followers be saying then?? lol

That Obama''d better be getting his a$$ to MS asap, as missing the debate would be political suicide.

"While the barbs fly back and forth between the McCain and Obama campaigns as to who can better manage the current financial crisis, one indisputable fact is John McCain has actively been seeking reforms that may have prevented the current situation. Congressional records show McCain Co-sponsored S. 190 the Federal Housing Enterprise Act of 2005. On May 25, 2006 McCain made this impassioned plea on the floor of the Senate.

Where was Obama and what was his position on Freddie/Fannie while McCain was calling for reform? Obama was the beneficiary of hundreds of thousands of dollars from the lobbyists McCain mentions in this speech, making him the #2 recipient of Fannie/Freddie money." AHHAHAHAH

msa123, ... didn''t you read the news? McCain went to the meeting to save the process, but he didn''t speak. So tell me again why he isn''t in MS?

Here is the GOP ploy:
1. Delay tonight''''s debate by false claim of saving the bailout process.
2. Move Sarah''''s debate to the end of the schedule to give her more time to memorize answers.
3. Realize that there''''s no time for so many debates, and attempt to cancel the Palin debate so she doesn''''t get blown to smithereens by Joe Biden.

Politics are hilarious. If Obama wanted to postpone and McCain didn''t, every one of these posts would be just the opposite. Obama supporters would say "look he''s putting the countries economic problems first. And would chastize McCain for not following suit. McCain supporters would be acusing Obama of politics. So save all of your BS please. When you are a die hard supporter of either one of these guys your opinion is biased and doesn''t help the moderate voter make a choice.

Obama, expect MORE stupid mistakes, we isn''t he out there helping fix this problem, oh yeah he''s too busy primping for the camera''s for his close-up.
