Who wouldn''t get involved if their father''s life was threatened? This is a smear that was promoted by one of the candidates that she beat out in the election. There are alway people like that who cannot stand to see someone else attain the stature that they, themselves, sought.

Make no mistake about it. This guy that Palen went after is a real slime-ball, if only half of the stories about him are true.

BUT...I am a Manager, and if I had done what Palen had done I would be fired, plain and simple. She had no business getting involved in this. And considering her vested interest in the outcome had no business firing the Public Safety Commisioner. This is abuse of power.

"Palin had promised to cooperate with the legislative inquiry, but this week moved to change the jurisdiction of the case to the state personnel board, which Palin appoints.'' SAY WHAT?

"Palin''s lawyer said this week she will refuse to testify in the case unless the investigation is switched to a 3-person state board (whose members she appointed)." AGAIN, SAY WHAT? a board that she can fire if she doesn''t like the outcome, not to mention she hand picked them in the first place.

"In August, Palin acknowledged that "pressure could have been perceived to exist, although I have only now become aware of it." YA THINK! Get a clue.

This episode shows increadably poor judgement!

This last week *** Cheney was in the former soviet union talking to leaders of the Republic of Georgia. Next stop might be Russia or the Ukraine or Palestine.

Do we honestly believe that Ms. Congeniality can do that? What if McCain has a stroke or dies in office, as he eclipses the life expectancy of a male in his first term. Then what?

The press must be out to get her, otherwise they wouldn''t report any information about her lies. She sounds like she''s walking the same kind of tightrope as mob guys. Intimidation doesn''t count because her family, staff and she didn''t specifically say, "Fire the @#$@! The commissioner didn''t take the hint and was fired, but it wasn''t related to his failure to take the hint.

Her diametrically opposed positions on the bridge and her actions with regard to the trooper are relevant to her integrity and believability. Her abstinence only philosophy is fair game, since it doesn''t seem to work very well. The personal lives of her family members are just that, personal. Leave the kids alone, they have enough to deal with.

There are legitimate questions about her candidacy, and her fitness for the job and the press has a duty to inform the public about her statements and actions. If the public deems her duplicitous and hypocritical based upon the facts the media reports, the fault lies with her, not the press. Like bush, his 90% clone and Palin seem to want to shoot the messenger for reporting their statements and actions. The media might be McBush''s base, but they still sometimes do their jobs. Palin is no longer running for PTA president and her actions deserve scrutiny.

Are the neo-cons still taking down the website pics of a supposedly pregnant Popsicle Stick Palin? Want to hide that pregnancy that never happened?

It''s ironic that Gov. Palin cheers her daughter''s "choice" to keep her baby, when Gov. Palin would deny the right to make that choice to all other American women.

Given what''s already trickled out about Gov. Palin''s saying one thing now vs. before the public eye was upon her, and matters like Troopergate, one wonders what other skeletons (besides the occasional moose) she has hiding in her closet.

Be afraid, America. Be very afraid.

Her daughter sure "knows" about creationsism...

Palin abide by the law. Not your law. If you use only people you appoint to justify your actions, then you are saying you are above the law. Her we go again with Bush-Rove politics.

So what chief executive wouldn''t fire a State police manager, who failed to properly take care of the problem of a dangerous loose cannon trooper working for him, and went around tasering his own children.

Just what we need is rogue cops running around on the loose with dangerous weapons, and misusing their state police vehicles. If the Democrats want to apply that same standard to Obama''s decison making processes regarding out of control individuals like ?Rev Jeremiah Wright; they might have picked a woman to run for President themselves.
Live with your dumb decisions.

Game over, landslide for McCain. This kind of story is just continuing to embarrass the socialist press. I think the press has truly lost it, like the emotion driven non-thinking, non-objective dems. Sorry Hussein Obama, maybe you can head to detroit to fill Kwame''s spot.

proud2serve2 said, "When you don''t over tax the ones who write your paycheck, they have more money to invest which leads to more job opportunity and higher wages for the rest of us"

WRONG! What you''re promoting is "trickle down economics", aka "The wealthy p!$$ on the workers"! IT DOES NOT WORK! It is a COMPLETELY DISCREDITED idea. What actually happens is that when you give wealthy people more money, they KEEP IT! They do NOT pay their employees more! They do NOT invest more!

What I''m saying is not conjecture: it is exactly what happened when Reagan implemented his "p!$$ on you" policy!

Repugs are ID.IOTS! They vote for policies that are AGAINST their own best interests because the GOP tells them to, and they think "daddy" will make them "safe".

proud2serve2; no, the baby theory has not been "disproven". Proof requires more than someone saying so. But the Enquirer will get to the bottom of it - just you wait! :)
I just wish everyone would stop telling lies. Remember when lying was a bad thing? Maybe we need a Fact Check General? Obama''s not raising taxes except for the top 2%. He''s MUCH more experienced than Palin in national and international affairs.
Between the two leaders of the ticket, I still trust Obama not to fly off the handle and "bomb bomb bomb Iran."

But Dems don''''t care about honesty or truth. They are just attack dogs. Obama is just a Chocolate Kerry, so they add nothing to the political debate, their only hope is to attack and try to destroy others.

Taxes on the middle class could hardly go up any more than they have under Bush. In fact we are paying the Bush tax on everything we purchase because he has allowed and encouraged the price of gas to triple under his "watch." World instability so coveted by the neocons has resulted in higher prices in everything the average person buys. I call it the Bush Life Tax and it is is real whereas the neocon jackals are so afraid they might raise the taxes on the richest of the rich.
