Washington Post: Top Strategist Says News Organizations Are "On A Mission To Destroy" Palin
- If the Republicans can''''t stand the heat, they are invited to leave the kitchen. If they want Palin''''s family to be off-limits - why are they parading them around at the convention? And now they have brought the boyfriend to the convention as well. They are using Palin''''s evangelical, large family, and gender to gather support -- This makes them fair-game! When other politicians want their families privacy respected - they keet them out of the political spotlight.

They said the VP is fresh, experienced, tough, and can be the Comander in Chief.

To this point, it is not possible for a minor to be married, as legally they cannot enter into a marriage contract, and again, Mrs. Palin''s actions open the suspicion that the child may in fact not be that of the 17 year old.
Even if it was faked, I would think that the thing to do would be to make public the results of a DNA test by an independent testing facility, and not wait until it might become necessary to do so.
Here is a question, what if the baby''s father turned out to actually be her husband''s business partner, as is now making the same web rounds that originally exposed the situation?
Don''t you think that we should lay these possibilities to rest before selecting Mrs. Palin for office?
BTW, I just bought a Cort a6 artisan 6-string bass, I get basses whenever I want, I get sponsored for shows, but i tried this out at a music store, and instantly paid the $700 bux, off the shelf, it plays better than the $2,000 instrument I also own. - Reply to this comment

Understood, but there still two outstanding points, one, they are not the same age, if the 17 year old had been charged with molest, he would in all likelihood be tried as an adult, and two, as I said before, the actions of the mother in this matter are suspect, and it is that suspicion that entertains the possibility that Levi may not in fact be the father.
And when you think about it, with all the rich, attractive people trying to suck up to Bristol''s mother, the best she could do is some self-confessed "redneck"?
Sounds like a dumb patsy to these jaded ears. - Reply to this comment
- NBC news just did a story on Palin''s tenure as mayor. One of her first stops was to the local library to get a bunch of books removed, when the librarian balked, Palin threatened to have her fired. Sounds like the perfect choice for the fourth Reich.

- "Age of consent is the age at which an individual can legally consent to intercourse without qualification. There are qualified circumstances in which sexual relations with a person under the age of consent are not a crime (or constitutes a less serious crime). The most common such qualifications are that both parties to the act are minors, or that the person to be charged is legally married to the minor or close in age to the minor."
There are plenty of legitimate reasons Palin is unqualified. no need to spread this junk. - Reply to this comment
- For the benefit of the country, GOP and your family, please Sarah, resign.

Umm... brian, two children of the same age having *** is not molestation unless it is forced, at which point it becomes rape. most states even clarify their statutory rape statutes to require a certain level of difference in the age. In other words a man one year older than a girl, regardless of whether he is of age and she is not, is not considered statutory rape. - Reply to this comment

My source is simple logic, she is underaged, and pregnant, this means someone had to have mated her, and because she is underage, most states consider it a crime, correct?
5 months pregnant at 17 years opens the possibility that the crime was committed when she was 16, depending on her birthday, does it not?
I find it strange that Mrs. Palin "neglected" to advise the "vetters" her daughter''s condition and situation until the story was all over the net, and then she tried to play it as "but they are getting married". Bunk, what they will do someday is irrelevant, what has already happened is what is at issue. The girl is underaged, she cannot legally marry until probably well after the child is born, again depending on Bristol''s birthdate.
To sum up, an underage girl is pregnant, a man did it, whether young or old, and all we have to go on about a possible crime is the word of her mother that the 17 year old is indeed her father, a word that, in light of her actions, is extremely suspect.
I do think that a DNA test is warranted, to discover the true identity of the father, even if it is a 17 year old, because the question of child molest is still a pertinent question, regardless of the age of the male. - Reply to this comment
- interesting. the GOP is purposely running ahead of schedule and changing their program so that Palin speaks at a different time and without any break after the speech before her.

Anyone know bristol''s birthday?
I ask because as 5 months, it is possible that she was molested when she was still 16, making this a bona fide felony child molest case. - Reply to this comment
- brianbwb I don;t know where you are getting this cover up of a child molester thing. As an Obama supporter though, I would ask that you post your sources if it is true,a s that would be a huge issue. Otherwise though, I would respectfully ask you stop spreading *** like that. Just because the GOP resorts to those tactics doesn''t justify the reverse.

- Guess who the first 2 speakers are at the GOP convention tonight. The former CEO of E-bay and the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard. I guess as long as you have "C" in your 3 letter job title, then you are of value to the GOP.

- The fact that unsubstantiated allegations appear on the Internet "is not a license for smearing" Palin, he said. "The campaign has been inundated by hundreds and hundreds of calls from some of the most respected reporters and news organizations. Many reporters have called the campaign and have apologized for asking the questions and said, ''Our editors are making us do this, and I am ashamed.'' "
Now we know he is lying, for the following reasons,
Reporters are never afraid to ask stupid questions, embarrassing questions, damaging questions, the only thing they fear is losing audience.
The original story about the pregnancy was an unsubstantiated rumor, except that a bulging tummy would soon substantiate it.
McSame was paying people to go on the net and smear Mr. Obama, but now cries foul when a real issue is outed by the netizens.
Enough, McSame, the baby''s father is a child molester, whether 17, or 71. What are you and Mrs. Palin, staunch advocates of the myth called "family values" going to do about it, other than try to continue to obfuscate and cover up a child molester? - Reply to this comment

Again, disdain for the poor. They deserve their lot. In some cases that may be true butnot generally the case. My hometown has been economically obliterated by the outsourcing of jobs to other countries, particularly manufacturing. My nieces (white) have children who''s (white) fathers abandoned them. They can''t move away, because their entire support system is at home. They work, but they can not afford anything but the bare necessities. My 83 year old father & mother help them, and when they are gone I will help. not everyone has that luxury. They are struggling to get their education while theywork & raise their children. They are the working poor. I moved 4 times to build my career to where it is but had the advantage of 15 years experience in an industry before the bottom dropped out. I had to take my wife to germany for a back operation and use our savings to pay for it because our healthcare system is so far behind. By the way, it cost one quarter of what it would have cost for the proposed archaic operation here. You want to talk about experiences? - Reply to this comment
