Oh no!!! I''m not blaming Bush alone!!
The republican led congress and senate helped him ruin this country!
Just like THE DAY after Katrina, when gas went up at the pumps to $3.25 / gallon. They didn''t PAY higher prices for what was in the tanks in the ground, but they sure did CHARGE a lot more money for it.
Bush said that he wouldn''t launch an investigation, because he saw no evidence of price gouging (obviously because he doesn''t pay for his own gas).
Congress COULD HAVE launched an investigation, but they VOLUNTARILY chose not to.
Like I said - the republicans in congress and the senate are JUST AS GUILTY as Bush. - Reply to this comment

- bretster7, but you still aren''t answering the central question of - what does this have to do with Obama? Obama has never mentioned Edwards as a running mate. Edwards ran on his own presidential ticket and bowed out. This has nothing to do with Obama. Edwards may be considered a "front runner" but he is considered that by the press and not by anyone that really matters. The only connection here is, Edwards endorsed Obama. But you have people left and right endorsing everyone. An endorsement isn''t worth the paper it is written on or the voice that says it.

- hungry 1968 said,First of all he invaded Iraq for no apparent reason, which destabilized the ENTIRE mideast, and gave ALL of the oil producing countries a reason to raise the price of a barrel of oil.
Second, he supported Phil Gramm''''s legislation which would have limited the mortgage crisis meltdown, but he chose to instead side with the lobbyists for the banking industry, and allowed them to have their way.
Not only did he NOT attempt to rescind NAFTA, he''''s proposing EVEN MORE economy damaging free trade agreements.
That''''s three - right off the top of my head. I''''m sure that there are PLENTY more, but I don''''t want to waste my time.

Funny how when it is a Republican that is in a situation like this, it goes to the question of his character, and you lib''s foam at the mouth. But when it is one of your guys it is no big deal, it is his personal lif, it is only *** blah blah blah.
I will tell you why it is a big deal. Edwards was running for the Presidency ( he may heve even been considered for the Veep)He paraded his cancer striken wife out on stage at every campaign event, to show how he was standing beside her, how this was bringing them closer together, etc, etc.
If he was having an affair at the time he was doing all that, it goes to the issue of his character. That is why it is a big deal, you pathetic liber hack. - Reply to this comment
- bretster7, thank you. You just completely proved my point. Instead of focusing on the real issues at hand (war, the economy, etc), Republicans focus on petty issues. Yeah, Clinton slept around. I''ll admit that, but how does that effect me or you? It doesn''t. Yeah it was embarrassing to America from outside countries. But I would rather have the embarrassment from other countries on something like that than the shear hatred from other countries because the Bush administration wants to bomb everyone. Clinton sleeping around doesn''t produce terrorists. Bush bombing other countries for no reason does produce terrorists. Thanks bretster7, you bolstered my opinion even more. Stick to the real issues not the stupid petty ones.

- Can you lay out in exact detail (without using the typical lib catch phrases)just what Bush did personally to bring this economy to the brink of bankruptcy.

Let''s see, where to start.....
First of all he invaded Iraq for no apparent reason, which destabilized the ENTIRE mideast, and gave ALL of the oil producing countries a reason to raise the price of a barrel of oil.
Second, he supported Phil Gramm''s legislation which would have limited the mortgage crisis meltdown, but he chose to instead side with the lobbyists for the banking industry, and allowed them to have their way.

See why it is a waste of time talking to libs? They could not answer a specific question if thier Gov''t support check depended on it. I am outta here. I may check back to see if anyone answers, no , on second thought that would also be a waste of time. - Reply to this comment
- bretster7, hypocrisy? What? Are you kidding me? Have you not been on this planet for the last 8 years and you want to talk to me about hypocrisy? I love it how any time you criticize a Republican, they change the subject all together and criticize you. Republicans can never answer questions truthfully, they just change the subjects. Look at all of the commenters on here complaining about all of the things Bush has done wrong in the past 8 years and the only Republican comeback is to dig up a story on someone who Obama knows. The Bush presidency has destroyed the reputation of this country but all the Republicans want you to care about is who John Edwards is sleeping with and what Obama''s paster may have said. Who cares? Focus on the issues Republicans instead of ignoring all of the faults of your dear elected President.

He wasn''''t honest with people. He got in based on good faith, and ran his whole presidency on bad. He makes Baker look like a saint for stealing all that soul money.
Generalities Donnie, generalities. Name specific actions, such as policy that he alone, without congress or anybody else, that he enacted, that has caused the so called bad economy...come on focus - Reply to this comment
