Washington Post: GOP Candidate Is Still Waiting For His Turn At Good Luck On The Campaign Trail
- Has anyone else noticed that a great majority of the "followers" of Barack Obama cannot get through a post without childishly and rudely referring to Sen. John McCain as" McShame, McBush, McLoser, McWho, McCreep, McOldMan, etc. etc. etc

Has anyone else noticed that, historically, the conservatives cannot do adversity without first demonizing what they consider to be the adversary. Reagan did it with "welfare momma''s driving a caddillac".
Bush did it by attempting to turn the term "liberal" into an epithet. Attempted the same thing with the term "protester".
Simple minded game for simple minds.... - Reply to this comment

I noticed that the number is about the same as the ones that type Barack HUSSEIN Obama and so on.
There are idiots on both sides, claiming that only one sides followers is doing it is as biased as doing it yourself. - Reply to this comment
UTICA, New York - Four states have changed color on the Zogby Electoral College map at www.zogby.com, as presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama battle for the upper hand. Obama maintains his substantial lead over McCain in the Electoral College race, the latest map shows, as he remains at 273 votes, but McCain loses 14 votes.
The latest calculations represented by the map are the result of analysis by Pollster John Zogby, based on Zogby and industry polling, as well as other factors.
Pollster John Zogby: "For the time being, Obama maintains the edge and has the strength of a majority of electoral votes. His triumphant foreign trip allows him to continue to define this race. But too many of these states are close and a sizable number are undecided or choosing a third party candidate. So there is a lot of fluidity."- Reply to this comment

No round cheese, or blocks of cheese, and neven any of that "misxed up" cheese - lord no, we can''t have colby and jack cheese intermingling!"

Barack''''''''''''''''s arrogance has attracted his own brand of arrogant and rude cult like "followers" who seem to have not only no respect for others, but no respect for themselves. This is not an American election; it is "American Idol". I want no part of Barack''''''''s false mantra of "Change". I am voting for REAL change this November. Sen. John McCain!

- I am a small business owner who is very much interested in the next election. I am very dissapointed that CBS has given more air time to Barak than John McCain. I really wanted to see more of McCain''s speeces. I will not be watching CBS news anymore.

- Thank you, TeeCJacobs and ifeelgood3 for posting interesting, thoughtful and respectful comments. It is so sad that in most of the political articles'' comments sections, the polarization, selfishness and faux patriotism spawned by the current administration reemerge in the form of posts by what would seem 14 year old spoiled brats. It is embarrassing that we not only elected, but re-elected and finally, have failed to impeach the clowns we have. No thanks due to the cowardly press, which is hardly liberal. The boards of directors of most of the media corporations are most certainly not wanting the people to have all the facts.

- Ariel133, you also forgot McFlip and McFlop, you know, the ''candidate of change'' who changes his mind on every issue depending on 1) how it polls 2) what the weather is like and 3) whether or not his arthritis is acting up again.
Some also call him Pander Bear. - Reply to this comment

How can you have real change by a man who espouses everthing our current president has done? The list would include: 962 time proven liar by twisting intelligence reports(wmd, wmd, the sky is falling) spied on americans (a felony impeachable offense) outed a cia agent for political gain, and has killed about a milion people (many innocent women and children). And you want more of the same?
Sounds like beaten dog syndrome to me. - Reply to this comment
- Those who report the news have immense power - and responsibility. Can CBS will get its act together in time to help our nation elect its new leaders? Can CBS resist pressures to produce entertainment features (such as this article) instead of news? Can CBS refrain from pandering to sideline commentary and manufactured complaints by partisan interests? Please cut out all the distraction/manipulation. Get to the real news and report it in accord with high standards of journalistic conduct? (http://www.spj.org/ethicscode.asp). Citizens who truly love our country and democracy must not let substandard journalism slip by, nor should other journalists.
CBS, we need real news - such as the fact that you edited out McCain''s inaccurate response to Couric''s question. Refer to http://www.crooksandliars.com/2008/07/23/cbs-spokesman-distorts-standard-of-editing-on-couric-mccain-interview-heres-the-proof/ Unethical. Unprofessional. Unacceptable. The first tenet of journalist code of ethics states "Deliberate distortion is never permissible". Editing out McCain''s inaccurate statements keeps the public from seeing McCain''s true capacity to keep track of facts and conduct himself under pressure. Be accountable CBS. Report the mistake you made in accord with the ethical tenet to "Admit mistakes and correct them promptly".
Please report real news, such as impeachment hearings going on! Ask the candidates what they think about it! C''mon CBS. Get with it. - Reply to this comment
- I have been a Republican for over four decades, voting the party right down the ballot. Of course, I had voted for Bush both times. I HAVE SEEN AND HAD ENOUGH! NO MORE! I now consider myself an Independent.
John McCain is looking more and more like another Bush with respect to intellectual capacity, judgment and mental agility--I mean the lack thereof. Maybe, he is now just too old. His many gaffes are unnerving to me and an indication of lack of mental acuity. And, I don%u2019t have a good feeling about the people he is likely to select for his Cabinet. His time has past in my opinion. I would have voted for him in 2000 or 2004, but not now. HIs great patriotism and courage are undeniable, but many other traits are needed by our next President.
For me, Obama is appearing more and more Presidential. I want "out of Iraq," military focus on Afghanistan, affordable healthcare for all, less tax breaks for the rich and more tax breaks for the middle class, much more use of alternative energy, etc. So, I guess this makes me somewhat of a closet Democrat. I should have voted for Gore and Kerry. I will atone by voting Obama. - Reply to this comment

Just because you have FDS doersn''t mean we all have to.
FDS - Fox Derangement Syndrome.
The name for those far left posters that can''t stand the fact that Fox News has both a Republican point of view, as well as the usual Democratic point of view, (as every other news media has only the latter.)
But, be kind folks - those people with FDS can''t help themselves... It''s hard to take on reality when it doesn''t fit your agenda.
First there is denial, then claims of ''unfair'', then a great deal of gnashing of teeth, followed by finger pointing, and at some point the slow realization that it IS fair and more balanced dawns on them.
At this point the FDS victim has moved from far left to just liberal. Not all make it. Some are too firmly entrenched in their denial of the facts.
Have pity. They expect it. It is an entitlement. It''s a Democrat ''thing''.
The Dems may have as well nominated.... - Reply to this comment
