McCain can''t catch a break? He has been the media darling since he started running for President in 1998. Everybody knew it was no joke when McCain referred to the Press as his ''Base''.
After 9 years of running for president, putting his face in front of whatever camera he could find, including going on all of the Sunday news shows more than any other politician of either party.

He is given a break daily as he makes his mistakes on history, Geography, Social Studies and Current Events. The media has taken pity on him and has taken to covering up for his lack of knowledge.

While Obama is out MAKING NEWS, McCain is exposing himself to be an insecure, jealous, nasty and petty spoiled juvenile.
McCain could have made some news for himself when he was scheduled to go to Louisiana, but the news of a hurricane sent him scurrying in the opposite direction and instead to go to a cheese store in Ohio. So how about for once taking personal responsibility for his actions (or lack of), and show us that he is capable of managing his own campaign.

I kinda think that all the "focus on Katy" is a bit of a distraction.
Did anybody listen to the candidates.
Her discussion with Obama was a pretty good discussion of the issues and his positions on those issues. Just what he wants. I think McCain''s name only came up once.
Her discussion with McCain turned into an "attack Obama" thing. Just what he wanted to do. Apparently McCain doesn''t want to discuss the issues. I''ve noticed that about him.

CBS did a smear job on Obama the other day with Couric''s obviously planned questions which were so negative toward Obama and so blatantly partial to McCain that I haven''t watched her news since. This business that the media favor Obama is questionable. McCain issued a challenge for Obama to visit Iraq and Afghanistan and Obama took him up on it. McCain has only himself to blame for Obama''s trip. The media have followed the events waiting for him to stumble which gratefully he hasn''t done, yet. Any little thing is fodder for the press and they''d hop all over Obama if he miscues, believe me. The jealousy of the right wing is apparent in many of their comments.

No thanks, I got better ways to waste my time.
Here''s a little clue....
You make an assertion, then challenge somebody else to disprove it.
It don''t work that way. You make the assertion, you prove your assertion...

noyalisti, 1)he stated he would immediately withdraw troops if elected regardless of the situation on the ground, now that he has been nominated he will start in 16 months if CERTAIN CONDITONS are met, that''''s called a flip flop. 2)He said he would negotiate directly with Iran, Syria, and North Korea, he has been backtracking on that since, another flip flop. 3) He stated that he didn''''t think there was a war on terror befor the nomination, today he stated he wanted unity with Europe ON THE WAR ON TERROR, flip flop, should I go on? He said the surge would be disasterous and he would not support it then stateds the surge helped security but would still not have voted for, kind of like "I voted for it before I voted against it", sound familiar? Now what was that about Obama and flip flops?

What I''''ve noticed is that McCain supporters can''''t get through a post without having said nothing of substance, intelligence, or truth.

Not blue must be listening to right wing wacko radio like Faux News. They call deciding to change your clothes a flip flop. Since the right wingers ran out of any material and meaningful arguments a long time ago, they are desperate to pretend that anyone is listening to them. They are pretending their are any people who would have the nerve to continue to vote for Bush by voting for McSame.

"I am a small business owner who is very much interested in the next election. I am very dissapointed that CBS has given more air time to Barak than John McCain. I really wanted to see more of McCain''''s speeces. I will not be watching CBS news anymore."

Typical illiterate Republican. It''s "disappointed", "Barack" (or better, Obama; ignorant Republicans don''t even know which is his first and which is his last name), and "speeches". And the reason that Obama gets more time is that he''s more interesting, more intelligent, and has more to say of substance. Another reason is that the media played nonstop the bits about Rev. Wright and "bittergate", but repeatedly edit out McCain''s numerous gaffes and flip-flops (most Americans don''t know it, but McCain has flip-flopped at one time or another on virtually *every* policy).

CBS Evening News censored McCains flub ups, so its is odd to me that the CBS Jews are even reporting this story.

As both campaigns look toward their conventions in late August and early September, observers have noted more than once that Obama''s speech happens to be scheduled for Aug. 28, the 45th anniversary of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.''s "I Have a Dream" speech. McCain''s speech, on the other hand, will fall on Sept. 4, the opening night of the NFL season, which features a game between the Washington Redskins and the Super Bowl champion New York Giants.
-----------------------------------------

The rivalry of the Redskuns and Giants is fabled. The country will be watching it. On another station, McCain will give his speech. He also will have an audience - Cindy, his mother, Rudy and his faithful dog. All, except the dog, will be snoring away within the first 15 minutes.

"Has anyone else noticed that a great majority of the "followers" of Barack Obama cannot get through a post without childishly and rudely referring to Sen. John McCain as" McShame, McBush, McLoser, McWho, McCreep, McOldMan, etc. etc. etc"

What I''ve noticed is that McCain supporters can''t get through a post without having said nothing of substance, intelligence, or truth.

This article is ridiculous, especially after CBS trying to give McCain a huge break by editing out his gaffe and inserting his accusation that Obama is guilty of sedition. Had it been Obama, would he be whining about bad luck? Hardly ... he would have taken the occasion of the oil spill to talk about the importance of developing alternative energy. McCain''s "bad luck" is a combination of incompetence and being wrong on policy.

I agree, slower minds keep right (great bumper sticker I saw on a teachers car at my kid''s high school).

Obama really is so wise, it is absolutely touching. There is no better way to say it. He really is our last chance to save our country from financial ruin, to stop the destruction of our environment and our freedoms by the corporate culture. He is our last chance to restore the faith of the world in America.
