Washington Post: Figures Connected To McCain, Obama Also Have Deep Ties To Mortgage Giants
- Obama reported $72 million cash on hand and the DNC $20.3 million. But the Democrats still lag Republican John McCain''''s presidential campaign and the Republican Party.
Last week, McCain reported raising more than $22 million in June, which was his best month of the year. Together, the McCain campaign and the Republican National Committee began July with about $95 million in the bank.

Good to know but are you trying to make a point? - Reply to this comment
- No, wrong....who allowed 9/11 to happen was Slick Willy, who was way too busy making designs on blue dresses, instead of kicking a$$ like he was supposed to do...

I''m not going to agree with you on this one...Clinton tried to get the formerly lead by Poppa Bush CIA to certify their information on Osama so he could get landing privileges in Uzbechistan and go into Afghanistan and get him...and they wouldn''t! And Clinton passed down the information to the Bush administration and they ignored it!
Poppa Bush was already grooming Dubya for the White House and wanted him to be able to do it! But it all got tied up in the New World Order! Especially when they figured out Osama was already dead, and made the excuse to go into Iraq and oust Saddam and take over the oil reserves.
Nope, nope, Poppa Bush and Dubya can''t blame this one on Clinton. - Reply to this comment
- Liberal scare tactics? Tell that to the people standing outside of Indymac trying to get their money back.

Those standing in line to get their money back are a bunch of idiots. Indymac has been taken over by the FDIC and is operating as business as usual. rushing to take your money out is the last thing they should be doing. - Reply to this comment
- medmom, if you seriously, honestly believe that 9/11 is bush''''s fault, and only his fault, you need stronger meds.

I never said this. try to be nice, can you dialogue like an adult??? I never said 9/11 was bush''s fault. I said that assuming the repubs will be better at maintaining our security would be inaccurate BASED ON HISTORY. I didn''t attack you, so don''t do it to me. - Reply to this comment

- Really?? 9/11 is on his hands. his time. his clock. his ''''defending'''' of his country was negligible at that time, at best. The repubs have gotten us into wars. that''''s not what''''s best for our security. 9/11 occurred on repub''''s time -- I don''''t know how keeping them in power improves anyone''''s security.

9/11 occurred as a direct result of the Clinton administration''s refusal to take the threat of terrorism seriously. How many times was Clinton warned about BinLaden. He was even offered up to the Clinton admistration and they let him go. - Reply to this comment
- I am not buying all this hype about how bad off the economy is. Aside from the price of oil/gasoline, I don''''t think it is in that bad a shape. This whole economy in crisis is just a liberal scare tactic to get Obama elected.

- I think george has done a pretty good job of defending the US. You gotta give him that one.
