Schumer is in NY. IndyMac is in Pasadena, Ca. Don''''t you think bank management should have had the opportunity to deall with their problem before Schumer sent a letter to the press?

I''m not sure it''s clear-cut that it would have been better to keep quiet. But I''ll take your word for the sake of argument. If there are no conflict-of-interest issues and he has been objectively factual, it''s the sort of thing anyone could have done--nothing to do with his being liberal. Might be a mistake but he keeps his integrity intact. - Reply to this comment
- actaually, I thought guiliani and romney were the most experienced and qualified. rudy got nailed because he was getting, and taking, all the 9/11 attention. Also, his father and grandfather''s mob connections didn''t help. But he certainly knows how to handle crisis management. A hell of a lot better than Ray Nagin in New Orleans.

They''ve been under investigation, since last year.
What do you want to do - give him 8 like we gave Bush?

I thought Osama....I mean Obama was against wars and voted against them, all of a sudden, once he has the libs in his pocket with the nomination, then he wants to continue the war on terror, just like Bush.....It is laughable to see....he''s playing you libs like a violin, and you still hang on soaking up the bovine scatology.... - Reply to this comment
- Please consider voting for John McCain....I know no one could convince you on a forum like this, but he''''s an honorable man, and will not continue Bush''''s policies (he would be insane to do so), and will set this country on the right track and bring honor to the Presidency.....just a thought

- I know exactly how you feel, Being a New Yorker, I was looking forward to the possiblity of Rudolph Guilianni possibly getting nominated, but that was a long shot, and then maybe Huckabee or Romney who are more conservative, but "it is what it is", as my wife would say....lol

Giuliani?!?
Holy *****!! Your REALLY DO HATE AMERICA!!!!
He was absolutely HATED in NYC, until 9/11 came, and then SOMEHOW, he became "America''s Mayor". Previous to that, they were ready to run him out of town!!

- i don''t know which candidate will serve us best, but i wish, after this administration, that the public opinion meant something. sometimes bush reminds me of old school surgeons: that paternal, I-know-what''s-best-for-you-despite-what-you-believe attitude. I wish their decision making process including us Americans more. I am totally discontent with how politics currently works.

How do you figure a sissy liberal such as Obama is going to kick any a$$ ?....he won''''t, and terrorists will see us as weak, they already are endorsing him to be elected, what does that tell you ?
Posted by Minuteman-1 at 03:02 PM : Jul 17, 2008
Obviously, if Iraq is any clue, macho is overrated. Don''t worry about who terrorists might or might not want to prefer dealing with. The record of this Republican administration is about 7,000 Americans dead in 9/11 and Iraq--don''t have the numbers in Afghanistan. We can''t blame Iraq on terrorists but on a not-too-bright president who didn''t know what he was doing. - Reply to this comment

Spreading panic when it will help those who might otherwise fail to take action in a possible disaster is not a bad thing at all. You imply liberals have been guilty of scare tactics. How? - Reply to this comment

Well, you only have 2 choices....are you considering throwing your vote away ? that would be a disgrace....even I, as a old-school conservative, has to hold my nose in the voting booth, since McCain is not a true conservative, (nor was bush) - Reply to this comment
