I was much more supportive of the McCain who ran against Bush. In 2004 McCain flip/flopped and came out in Bush''s support. Since, McCain has changed his positions on many issued such as, Torture, Tax cuts, deregulation, and especially on his opinion of Radical Christian televangelists.

First McCain spoke out against televangelists, calling them divisive, hateful.

Then McCain said:

"I''m very honored by Pastor John Hagee''s endorsement."

Now he''s disavowed Hagee''s support which he once sought.

Will the real McCain please stand up!

david1737 : Name me ONE politician who hasn''t lied, stretched the truth, evaded the issue (same as lying), or one way or another garnished a situation to benefit his or her political gain....There ain''t NO SUCH ANIMAL!!!! That''s the nature of the business...The general public has to be astute enough to be able to separate the wheat from th chaff.

msay3. Yes, the foiling of several plots has prevented any discernible terrorism in the US post 9-11, but other countries weren''t so fortunate. Now our allies or anyone who supports the US is now a target. Now, not only do we have more terrorism in general around the world, but we''re destroying our credibility. Despite a clean track record since 9/11 - we''ve encouraged the type of rage that started this whole mess in the first place. With the threat continuing to grow, it would seem as if Americans will be forced to sacrifice more and more civil liberties and freedom in the name of freedom and security. Pre 9/11, the threat we faced was perpetrated by a minority of determined extremists, but now that minority is growing worldwide. We are less safe now then we were before the war. Plain and simple.

The market was described as being %u201Clike a normal outdoor market in Indiana." When in fact, McCain had to be protected by more than 100 soldiers in armored Humvees, with attack helicopters circling over head, and snipers on the roof tops near by.
------------

Geesh!!! He''''s a better man than me, cause I wouldn''''t go near any place that needed to be protected by 100 Soldiers in Humvees, with attack helicopters circling over head, and snipers on the roof tops near by....How about you??? You up to an excursion like that Macho Man?

Only way to find out is if I were put in that position. The point that I was making is that McCain lied about the situation (in an attempt to make political gain) this left a really bad taste in my mouth. It did result in a drop in McCain''s poll numbers, just like Hillary''s gaff on "sniper fire."

McCain/Bush and his family were all over this and it cost the American tax payer over $1.4 trillion dollars!

It stems from deregulation of the S&Ls.

Do some research.

Charlie Black-John McCain''s chief adviser and a long-time lobbyist for dictators and mass murderers like Ferdinand Marcos.

Charlie Black''s firm made millions working for people like:

* Ferdinand Marcos, who executed thousands of his own citizens in the Philippines,
* Zaire''s Mobutu, who publicly hanged his opponents and looted his country''s vast mineral wealth, and
* rebel leader Jonas Savimbi, a mass murderer, who covered Angola with landmines.

McCain lost me last year when he LIED about the situation in a Bahgdad market in which he took a walk through.

The market was described as being %u201Clike a normal outdoor market in Indiana." When in fact, McCain had to be protected by more than 100 soldiers in armored Humvees, with attack helicopters circling over head, and snipers on the roof tops near by.

Bottom line McCain can''t be trusted, especially in respects to his depiction of the situation in Iraq.

McCain isn''t Able.

Once again,

Mr. %u201CBomb Iran%u201D McCain is a candidate who cannot publicly distinguish between Sunni and Shiite terrorist groups, cannot get the troop surge numbers right, cannot distinguish between real progress in Iraq and Potemkin marketplace tours and who wants to double down on the Bush failed policies in Iraq and Iran.

McCain isn''t Able!

.. the terrorist groups weren''''t that big pre-9/11...
Posted by rRjgy39jkjlk at 12:34 PM : Jun 07, 2008
----------------------
They were big enough to plan & kill 3,000 Americans..Do you think that they planned all of that on 9/10? Of course not...That plot was in the making for several years....there was also the USS Cole, the marine barracks in Beirut...These terrorists have been at it a long, long time....I personally do not condone most of the Bush regime policies, but one thing "W" did do was keep a post-9/11 attack from happening on our soil. Terrorists are going to continue targeting the United States because they can not stand the thought of a democratic society...I doesn''t matter who is president....WE ARE ALWAYS GOING TO BE A TARGET!!!!
It''s better to fight them over there, than fight them here.....The terrorists are like an insidious cancer, there tentacles reaching out into every country on this planet...Their aim is to rule the earth and have every human bow to their religious fanaticism.....Do you really think that a naieve Obama can handle all of that and balance the budget to boot? I think he will fold under the pressure....He is too young, too inexperienced to play Atlas.....

McCain 6-2-08

Today at the AIPAC Policy Conference, rather than emphasize parts of his positive record, McCain once again mischaracterized Senator Obama%u2019s positions on Iraq and Iran. Mr. %u201CBomb Iran%u201D is a candidate who cannot publicly distinguish between Sunni and Shiite terrorist groups, cannot get the troop surge numbers right, cannot distinguish between real progress in Iraq and Potemkin marketplace tours and who wants to double down on the Bush failed policies in Iraq and Iran.

Putting Obama in charge is like putting a kid in charge of the candy store.....

You just described the present Republican Admin. and the oil corporations.

Remember the closed door meetings that Cheney and the Heads of the oil corps. held? The GAO (Government Accountability Office) was refused access to the names of energy executives who attended, when and where the meetings were held and how much they cost the taxpayers.

I see posts such as yours and it reminds me why they call it "spin," take the truth and spin it 180 degrees.

I have been a life long Republican. I voted twice for Reagan, twice for Bush Sr, and twice for GW Bush. But I will never vote for a man as stroked out as is John McCain. This flip-flop king McCain slurs his words, and has very little command of the English language. He has either had a stroke, or he still suffers from PTSD. The last thing America needs is a bitter Vietnam Civil War Veteran that has access to the USAs nuclear arsenal. I will be voting for the most impressive man to come on the US political scene in my lifetime: Barack Obama.
