- As post 40 year old white guy (and truthfully not always that proud of it!), I am fed up to the teeth hearing about black this and black that in regards to Mr. Obama. Personally I couldn''t give a sh** if he were purple with pink polka dots! Can he do the job? Really, the only germane question any of us should have. At this point, I''m convinced he can and will. But as it happens, the man is also half white. *** few seem to make any political mischief out of that? In this man''s humble opinion, this makes him perhaps the most ethnically appropriate person to represent our multi racial culture to come along in the entire history of this so called ''liberated'' society. So tell me, doesn''t he gets some credit from you racist pigs for that?

- Dear Misogynist Media:
The Real Nominee will be chosen on August 30th in Denver at the Democratic Convention.
Is there not 3 long, hot summer months for a lot more unsavory stuff to come to light about the 3-year Senator from Illinois? It won''t take many superdelegates to change their minds to take his prematurely claimed nomination away from him! - Reply to this comment
So much for experience!
He had an array of experiences: Minister to Russia, Minister to Great Britain, ten years in the Senate, elected five times to the House of Representatives, Secretary of State for five years. While he was in office the nation increased in size by 33%. Yet, when he was elected as president in 1856, James Buchanan soon acquired the reputation as the worst president in the history of the country. The man who followed him in office only had two terms in the Illinois State Legislature, but Abraham Lincoln had no problem being elected to the presidency.- Reply to this comment

- Contrary to the opinion of some Obama supporters ehre, I don''t there is anything wrong with Clinton being VP, if Obama asks her to. Clinton ran a spirited contest, as she should. You don''t run this race not to win, and you need to do whatever it takes to win it. Her supporters expect no less. She did that, and just happens to come up short. They are both very capable candidates, but of course there can only be one winner.
I think they would make a great team that will unify the Dems (except of course for those intransigent people who will never budge if their candidate lost, but then there will always be a few of those). Their policies are very similar, and that''s why they had to run on issues of perception such as "experience" or "change". An Obama-Clinton candidacy would indeed be a dream ticket, very hard to beat. I hope Obama considers this when he chooses his running mate. - Reply to this comment
- If Barack Obama wins the PRIMARY, Barack Obama will lose the GENERAL ELECTION!!! They want John McCain in office to initiate more invasions. This will amount to another round of BUSH!!! There is NO question about this. Already, John McCain is looking at further invasions--like IRAN!!!
Barack Obama is not experienced enough for the position!!! Why do you want him (Barack Obama) as PRESIDENT??? The other PLAYERS will not respect him (Barack Obama), concerning foreign affairs!!!
IOWA was fixed!!!!!! There is NO question about this!!! They want McCain in to initiate a WAR that will leave Europe alone. Currently, this is NOT supposed to happen!!! The result will be a significant mess!!! Why force something that can NOT be realized at all??? - Reply to this comment
- Those of you who have something to say about Obama, probably voted for George Bush. And look what he has done to America, you are paying $4.00 for gas, food prices are up, you can''t pay your mortgage or rent, and like Cheney says, "So" and the middle finger but again you might like it.

- Can you believe it? Now she announces she is open to being VP. If Obama goes for that, he''''s nuts. It would be like Caesar having Brutus for best bud.
_______
The woman is shameless! She announced only a few days ago she had no intention of ever going for VP, in spite of Bill putting an early bid! The dust not only hasn''t settled but it''s still swirling around and yet her quest for power continues unabated, even if now once removed. If Mr. Obama goes for it, I''d suggest he corner the market in personal life insurance! The rest of us better pray the poison ends up in the wrong chalice..or alternatively, she''s not the crack shot she claims to be! God help us all! - Reply to this comment
- I find the hate and dislike of Senator Obama by some individuals extremely interesting. How far we continue to decline in society, when we hate a man simply because of the complexion of his skin......Posted by jstrong8
I find it interesting that you assume that is the reason some people do not like him. I don''t like him at all, and I am black. So by your assumption, I am racist. You shouldn''t tout generalizations when you know not what you speak of. - Reply to this comment

You can''t really be saying this after the Bush legacy.
Also, take a deep look into the story of John McCain...last in his high school class, 5th from bottom of his Naval class, involved in five major accidents including one that killed 134 people...all thanks to Daddy. - Reply to this comment
- The Democrats have always preferred affirmative action to the extent that someone lacks the experience, credibility, character and sound judgment. An Obama nomination is such a case. It''s astounding that the Presidency is wrapped up in such guilt.

At its core Affirmative Action means a problem has been identified that needs correcting and it usually means an imbalance of some kind exist that needs balancing. The most embarrassing case of Affirmative Action now in progress are the colleges and universities that have too many women and opposed to men and in some cases the female to male imbalance is 70% female to 30% male! To remedy the problem and correct the imbalance colleges and universities are accepting males with lower scores than females citing too many girls hurts recruitment! Of course females are furious as they should be, because if Affirmative Action is not good for race it should not be used or good for gender either!, hence the collegiate embarassment! As usual the spin is Affirmative Action is ok now because its serves someones agenda, but of course! lol - Reply to this comment

- Dearest Olandug, you do not represent the core nature of Americans- neither present nor past- and the ignorance, fear and hate cultivated by the right wing neo-con will die with the departing regime. Ghengis Khan was not the anti-christ but actually helped bring the world together through trade, art and culture despite the western bias against him and the Mongols. Perhaps you belong in the holy land where your biased bigotry can rot with you.

What do you know about the Anti-Christ? Has God given you a vision? Or is it because a man with brown skin is being elected to the highest office in this Country, he has to be evil? Your logic is a little strange; but it is yours. - Reply to this comment
- I don''t hate Obama. He is the choice for doom. Hilary is the choice for light. McCain is the choice for war. I guess America has spoken.

Its really sad that racist apartheid South Africa elected a Black President before the U.S.! Even worst horror stories preceded Nelson Mandelas election, doom and gloom but South Africans ended up conceding he was the best President they ever had and elected him twice! The U.S. may get surpised too if Sen. Obama wins! - Reply to this comment
