Washington Post: Divisive Battle Threatens To Leave Bitterness That Could Hurt The Winner In The General Election
- Who in the right mind would vote against their party to send a message? And who is that message for exactly?
The press? The Democratic leadership?
How insanely stupid is that.
Here...just think of these faces smiling (and smirking ) if McCain won...
George W. Bush
*** Cheney
Karl Rove
Rush Limbaugh
Bill Bennett
Sean Hannity
Now, go ahead and make your point and vote against Obama just out of spite and watch these guys laugh and chuckle at their luck for 4 MORE years. - Reply to this comment

Russia and China: Hold Joint Military Exercise
The Associated Press Published: August 17, 2007
CHEBARKUL TESTING RANGE, Russia: President Vladimir Putin said Friday he had ordered strategic bombers to resume regular Long-Range Patrols as Russian & Chinese Forces held their 1ST Joint Military Exercise on Russian soil.
NOTE: A show of Armed Muscle Aimed at Sending a Pointed Message to the.... United States.
The resumption of bombing patrols, which analysts say signaled a significant change for Russian military policy, comes amid a growing chill in U.S.-Russian Relations, strained over Washington`s criticism of Russia`s democracy record, Moscow`s objections to U.S. Missile Defense Plans and Differences over Global Crises.
Both Moscow and Beijing share a Heightening Distrust of what they see as the United States` Oversized Role and Influence in Global Politics, and the two former Cold War rivals have forged a "Strategic Partnership" aimed at Counter Balancing Washington`s Policies.
There were several Other Asian Countries Involved in those Joint Excercises..also !! - Reply to this comment

US GOV. rankings fell big time under ROY ROMERS control. YOU LOOK IT UP. THEY PAY YOU at CBS do your fact checking.

I did look it up and found that, under Romer, the Academic Performance Index results for 2005 show a small gain.
So, Romer was there for five years. What about the time before he got there and, especially, the time since? California education, including LA, still ranks well below WV, in fact, it''''s near the bottom five. And it has nothing to do with Romer. - Reply to this comment

- grumble. I think I''ll watch Cool Hand Luke.
That boxing match is getting more interesting than this tired "Hillary vs. Obama" stuff.
The vote has nothing to do with issues, it''s almost entirely along gender and race lines. The only interesting thing is to see what black women (like Oprah) would do when they had to choose beetwen sexism and racism. RACISM WON.
It''s even getting to be more engaging to talk about Chappaquiddick again... - Reply to this comment

- Obama is not going to be able to win, the math doesn''t add up, he''s going to lose most of Clinton supporters. I''d pick McCain over Obama, I don''t trust the man, he''s up to something.

- We can argue all we want here but there''s no denying that the republican voters are the majority in this country and add to that all the disgruntled Hillary voters and you have a complete victory for McCain (who doesn''t even seem to really want the highest office from the looks of his campaign rhetoric). If you really believe that the latte liberals and the black population and the college kids can elect a president you are sadly misinformed. Just take a look at previous electoral maps and see how completely the states go red. It''s the "silent majority" which elects our presidents, the steadfast republicans who come out in greater numbers each year --- and this year they will be joined by at least half of the disappointed white women who wanted to see the first woman in history elected to the presidency and these women are very determined to make a statement because of the way their candidate has been treated. If Obama offers the VP spot to Hillary and she accepts --- there is still a chance to send McCain home. Otherwise the electoral map goes red and Obama goes home. If you''re voting to end the war --- don''t get your hopes up. Obama is making promises he cannot keep --- lots of them.
