- To paraphrase Bill, it''s one''s character, stupid. If half of us cheer her on as she lies, backtracks, switches her opinion and panders shamelessly, exhibiting great gaps in her character, while the other half looks on in amazement that people love her for doing those things, how could we possibly meet in the middle? Half of Democrats I''ve now found out are an alien way of life that I don''t understand in the slightest.

- Again, I can''t understand the blind devotion to Hillary simply because she allegedly has a ***. The woman is in it only for herself, and if she has to destroy the Democratic party to get what she wants, she will.

- This is such ***!! I am middle-aged (59), Black, female, went to college, am gainfully employed, can think for MYSELF and a proud supporter of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. No matter how this turns out, she will never be known to me as "Poor Hillary". People have an absolute right to support whomever they choose - but there is something very sick in the culture of the US that makes some people so hateful towards this woman. I would venture to say that none of the posters here knows her personally, so I really don''t understand the vile comments that are made about her.
I will always believe that it is still easier to be elected POTUS if you have a PENI$. This woman has dedicated her adult life working for the underprivileged (especially children), the forgotten in our society and for the betterment of the American people. Some adjectives used to describe her (ruthless, hard charging, etc.) seem to be a perjorative when describing a woman, but these seem to be qualities that we admire in our male leaders. We may have come a long way baby, but we sure as hell have a longer way to go for women in this society to be taken seriously!! - Reply to this comment
- One way of fighting this "poor Hillary" image is to leave the campaign now on a high note, winning WV. Staying in to the end is not going to make her more popular. Actually looking more each day like a sore looser. The DNC is really loosing precious time. Obama''s hand is tied everyday she is in there. Concede and start campaigning for the party will be the best thing for her and her husband''s legacy.

It is her very name, so polarizing; it is Slick Willy and Vince Foster and Whitewater and that nickname "Shrillary" and her supposed unending ambition and . . . something else, something ancient.
