- Many people ask why Obama did not leave the church, but I ask "IF YOU WALK AWAY, HOW CAN YOU ACHIEVE UNITY?"
It is absurd to question Obama%u2019s patriotism. Obama%u2019s character, integrity and sea mind demonstrated through this whole drama is what exactly this country needs if we stand any chance at all for a more perfect union. Ordinary person would go away, but this is exactly the difference between an ordinary person and an extraordinary leader whom we can count on for making our country a better place for all. - Reply to this comment

Thanks a lot! But the MAJORITY of people in this country, white, black, brown, yellow, red, don''t get up every morning with the first thought in their head as to who they''re going to hate that day!
Most of us are loving, happy individuals who''ve worked hard for what we have and are seeing it dwingle in two single terms of one president!
When a democratic candidate doesn''t even support the clearly successful democratic administration and tries to tear down the effort that went into it, then they don''t and can''t support the party who ESTABLISHED civil rights in this country!
Now you can swill your racism krap all you want to! It''s exactly the ONLY defense Obama supporters have when their candidate is criticized. And those of us who have never disrespected a person of another race all our lives are getting fairly sick of hearing it! - Reply to this comment

- Get Ready Obama is going to do his Magic Obama Speech. He doesnt want to debate and have to answer questions. But he is going to give a gettysburg address speech to sooth the outrage. Do you think people will faint at his feet again. Or do you think America will finally see thru the snake oil salesman.

- walker1209 - Great Post, More people like you need to speak out. Yes there are racist in every group, however the majority of Americans just want a good president regardless if he is black, white, yellow, purple.(yes I would vote for a purple person, if he or she shared my values)

LOUISVILLE, Ky. | Kentucky bigwig Ben Chandler, a new U.S. rep and grandson of a former governor, will endorse Barack Obama today, Obama%u2019s state campaign director said. - Reply to this comment
- walker1209,,,, Thank you, that was a good post... Have you checked out Obama''s web site ?? His rhetoric is backed up by sound plans he''s not afraid to post

- OBAMA CHICKENS COMING HOME TO ROOST
Dump Obama. He should be impeached!
He is a total fake and Rev Wright says exactly what Obama listened to %u2014 and agreed with %u2014 for 20 years.
Are we really supposed to believe today that Obama doesn%u2019t agree with Black liberation Theology about White Hatred? Barack signed the pledge.
He is rotten and un-american. A racist thru & thru. - Reply to this comment
- Many of you need to brush up on your vocabulary.
What Rev. Wright said does not make him a racist. It is based on 232 years of this American society (that has been run primarily by white males) condoning second class citizenship for those of other races (or worse, annihilating them like the native Americans). Racism is an adverse opinion formed without just grounds or before sufficient knowledge. The term doesn''t apply to Rev. Wright. Rage does not equal racism.
Let''s see a show of hands. How many of you were born with dark skin? Me neither. We have no idea what it''s like to wake up every single day of our lives knowing when we walk through the door that a huge percentage of our fellow countrymen are going to pre-judge us based solely on the color of our skin (prejudice).
This doesn''t mean I''m an Obama supporter or that I wouldn''t enjoy a smaller, less-taxing government. But, from the tone of a number of these postings, I suspect many of you are simply looking for any reason at all to slander the black (or female) candidate based only on a single trait. That''s racism. - Reply to this comment
- I don''t know why some folks can''t get over the fact that not everyone who does not support BHO is a racist. I am a Black woman who does not support him, not because of his skin color (and by the way folks - HE IS HALF WHITE) but because all I have heard from him is rhetoric. I must admit that he makes a nice speech and looks pretty good in a suit, but we have had one empty suit for almost 8 years and look what we have ended up with.
I know that none of these candidates is perfect and people want change but what kind of change?; and how are alliances with the likes of Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Gary Hart, etc. change - this is really the old, ultra-liberal in my party.
Of course racism still exists in this country, so does sexism, ageism and all the other ''isms''; only when we learn to accept and appreciate each other as human beings will this change.
I will vote for who the hell I want to - call me what you want!! - Reply to this comment
