So let''s look at the conduct of the 3 candidates spouses.

Clinton: husband is the only president impreached for personal misconduct

Obama: wife published racist/un-American thesis and is, only at this late stage in her life, proud of America.

McCain: did not acknowledge references for cooking recepies.

Hmmm, which one seems to be the least benign?

How is that an article about Cindy McCain''''s tuna fish recipe coming from someone else, not her bring about comments about the Texas polygamy fiasco?---

Simple, there are people who have been conditioned to believe that anything the government dose is evil. They just can''t admit that the government intervening to stop the rape of children could possibly be a good thing.

Oh and I hope you traded up :-)

This is what it has come to. Worrying about recipes?? Lord. I am not a John McCain supporter, but this wouldn''t matter a tinkers da mn if I were. In fact, it doesn''t matter a tinker''s da mn anyway. Is this worthy of a front page story on this website?? Who gives a hoot what Cindy cooks???????

No, he didn''t leave me for a millionair. He should have; he was a compulsive credit buyer, and we walked out on $40,000 in bills, then disappeared into the woodwork for about seven years.

cattlekate.....Hope you''re doing well. My 5 to 1 bet thing was just a feeble attempt at sarcasm. When I look back at 2000 and particularly 2004 and see what the American people did I fear that we will head down that same road again. I am in the same circle of the "elite" as you. I worked my way through school, working in a liquor store at night, had a successful teaching career then started a business with my wife that we did quite well with until the bush grew over us. We still were able to sell the business at a nice profit and are now retired. So I am old too. I agree with every word you said. I also think this is a fluff piece and not worthy of consideration. It has, however, brought forth some interesting comments. See ya later.

onlythereal...."Poor mothers in Texas" indeed! These women are the sorriest excuse for parents I have ever seen. To hand over your 13 or 14 year old daughter to some 40 or 50 year old man for his sexual pleasure is un-excusable. How can you have sympathy for creatures that would do something like that? Then they come on TV, (something that they shun) and whine that they are the victims. Thank God someone found out about this and they were able to rescue those poor children. I just hope they don''t return them to that vile environment. In addition, let''s take a look at the welfare records and find out just how much this has cost the taxpayers of Texas.

Maybe they should send a SWAT team in like they did to the poor mothers and children in Texas and arrest her.

14 year olds marrying 40+ year olds and having their children???

"A: the candidate who states that small town Americans are "bitter" and "cling to guns and religion". ...

No, this just shows that you have accepted the blatant lying and twisting of "candidate A''''s" statements. There is absolutely NO DOUBT that small towns that have lost their manufacturing jobs are ripe with bitter people. There is NO DOUBT that bitter people in small towns cling to their guns and to their religion for security. How in the hell is that supposed to be an example of candidate A''''s "dishonesty"?

It just AMAZES me how effective the republican mouthpieces (FOX, et. al.) are at creating negative images of their opponents, based on the flimsiest of misrepresented factoids!Posted by IDNNSG at 03:32 PM : Apr 16, 2008

Good post worth repeating.

Hey Antimony! I will bet you Obama wins by 5 to 1 in the general election! Ignore notblue and james - they are evildoer trolls!

In my circle of the Elite (like..uh.....self-made middle class professionals who don''t have the advantage of being 894 in a class of 899, and dumping their faithful spouses for a rich person), they think Obama is the most uncronyistic, honest, straight-forward person-without-binding-corporate ties there is!

I am old and have never been as excited about changing our oligarchy/plutocracy as I am now!

If we had an opposite of FAUX Nooze, the word would get out to those who don''t understand what issues are important to their kitchen-table discussions and bill-paying.

I suppose that McCain was the only 40 something year old man in America who obtained a divorce and married someone else?

I think some people have a problem with he was seeing that someone while still married to wife number one. I think that someones family owned the company he was working for at the time also. I guess you could call that trading up. Did your husband leave you for a millionaire?

I suppose that McCain was the only 40 something year old man in America who obtained a divorce and married someone else? Oh wait, I think my ex husband did that too. When I was finally rid of him, I exclaimed, "Free at last, free at last, thank God all mighty, free at last."

I like America too, I just see that (like every country) there is very much room for improvement. Americans are very, very naive about the world. Comparable to a lot of African nations even. And I think concentrating too much on ones own country can be destructive for the world.

We certainly do share the same space ship--earth. And as fellow citizens of space ship earth, it would behove us to realize that we will all make it together or we will all perish together. But, I do love this country (U.S.A.) and I am not patriotic towards, Iran or China or North Korea, for examples. In that sense, I can''t see myself as being patriotic to the world.

Americans are far to Jingoistic. Do you know how absurd it sounds in other countries to say things like "Good-night my fellow patriots" - you just sound like an idiot. Cant anyone see themself as a citizen of the WORLD and not just America?

When McCain betrayed his first wife, the one who kept the faith and raised his 3 kids while he was a prisoner of war, Cindy Loo the recipe girl was a hot little 25-year-old. He was much older, it was 1979, so he must have been about 40 years old. Imagine that gross old freak, 40 years old, doing the little 25-year-old rich girl and betraying his first wife. Some hero. What a great hero.

Probably his wife was home, struggling with all 3 kids, while "hero" McCain was in some dirty motel with Cindy, giving it to her. Big "hero" McCain, was it her hot little body or her millions that you wanted?

Yep, a real American "hero".
