I heard a tale of a middle aged white woman whose husband was a womanizer and caused her great grief. She tried to do things on her own but found out she had no talent - just rhetoric, but at least she had the support of the american public - or so she thought. Then one day she attempted to cash in on that support and found out it wasn''''''''t there either. The saddest part of this story is that it took this woman many months to come to the realization that no one cared for her which resulted in a significant loss of self esteem and eventually cost her any chance in the future of recapturing the support of the american public.

If she is using this to try to push socialized medicine, she should stuff it some place else.
We need to reduce the control the HMOs have over the medical profession so a hospital, no matter where it is can afford to take in any patient, not just the ones with insurance. It is the HMOs that are making these things happen and as Hillery''''s backers she knows it very well, because they will benifit greatly from socialized medicine. Posted by consciousness


Exactly how are HMOs preventing hospitals from treating people without insurance? There are many kinds of health insurances available not just HMOs. Universal healthcare does not mean HMOs will control the US healthcare. The simple fact is there are way to many people in this country without health insurance because they cannot afford it, or they cannot get it because of a preexisting condition. The entitlement programs such as Medicare and Medicaid cost us a huge amount of money and it is only going to get worse as our population ages. If these two programs merged with a universal healthcare program the healthy individuals on the same health plan would offset some of the cost, eventually lowering the cost to all taxpayers. Because eventually Medicare and Medicaid are going to become an even bigger money pit then they already are. There is absolutely no reason anyone in this wealthy country should die because they can%u2019t afford health insurance or medical care.

Obama''s sad sack fable presented in a campaign speech about his parents love story as a result of the Civil Rights marches and passage of the Civil Rights Bill belly flopped considering he was born in 1961. This fable went relatively ignored by his adoring media fan club.

Obama might have a distorted view that many around him didn''t see? I really don''t understand a lot of his embittered views against whites in his books. It seems his black father abandoned him, but he blames everyone but the father. Quite frankly, after reading his books and Michelle''s thesis, I believe they need some therapy or intervention. Psych majors would have a field day with any of this published work.
