You are confused. You are probably referring to Jeff Gannon - George W Bush''''s gay boyfriend. He was a fake journalist

Mental picture: Bush, his mistress Condi Rice and Jeff Gannon all sharing hot monkey love in the Lincoln bedroom.

Infidel_US, I get your point. No politician is as pure as the driven snow when it comes to cavorting with lobbyists, or having them on their staffs. McCain, however, has been railing for years about the evil power of the lobbyists and yet here they are all around him. If he''s being held to a higher standard, it''s because he himself has created this standard.

I see. So, the issue here is not that ALL politicians open their doors to lobbyists, it''s the fact that McCain is a republican and thereby held to a higher standard.

The REAL issue is whether McCain used his position to influence policy as specified by the lobbyist. i think the answer is NO, but I know that doesn''t matter to you bedwetting liberals. You guys are just sooooooo above the frey. Beyond reproach, right?

All candidates - federal and state - work with lobbyists and are influenced by them. The part I hate is where the cindidates - Democratic and Republicans - denounce them and maintain just the opposite. On then national scene, they all do it - Clinton, Obama, McCalin, etc. It is a fact of life.

I guess they had to remove the part about his girlfriend lobbyist. That headline was more catchy !

Sorry about it not being true.

I believe less and less everyday what I hear and read on the news.

Can there be legal lobbying?

Posted by ozonmojo at 09:50 AM : Feb 22, 2008

There is nothing wrong with lobbying per se. Many of them do actually work for good causes. The problem comes when some of them trade things, like free trips, vacations, gifts or even apparently in McCain''s case, even ***, in return for the Senator''s support and vote.

libs and cons keep defending your positions on your archaic, one-dimensional political spectrum. our two-party political system is not the best for this country. take a good look at the remaining candidates and tell me that this is the best we can come up with to lead this country....

-McCain, Another Walking-Liar America just can''t afford. After 20 years of interest in politics, I only can conclude the Republican Party is the RepubLYING party. Obviously the thieves have not stolen enough. What a shame...

Can there be legal lobbying?Does a lobbyist have any rights in the scheme of things? It can''t be that all lobbyists are crooks like all politicians and journalists are not crooks. Is there any code of conduct for lobbying? How does advocacy differ from lobbying?
