Dear john...

The IRAQ war will not make us victorious over the Viet-Cong. Let it go... this war was a mistake. We should have stayed the course and hunted down Bin Laden. Going into IRAQ and then trying to tie them to 9/11 is lame.

Focus on our country. Ya know... creating jobs, improving education, improving our own security here at home.

John... can you say "E-CON-OMY"?

I agree with the earlier post... his plan has been out there for quite a while. I''d like to hear how McCain plans to balance the budget and keep troops in Iraq during his tenure in office. If anyone has ever watched him debate... I don''t think he''s EVER addressed the economy. He always reverts back to being a POW and being tested.... that that experience in itself will make him a good leader. His opinion is the economy will take care of itself and we have to WIN the WAR!!

That WAR will NEVER end as long as the middle east is in existence. We as americans need to read up

"Oh this is tooo funny. The media finally starts focusing in on Obama and it seems to be issuing a panick among his supporters in the comments. What....are they finally shaking the Obamamaniacs out of the dream state and interjecting a bit of reality? You want to criticize Hillary for using "Think Tanks"...well research indicates that the effects of Hypnosis are typically short-term at best."

One generally has to actually win stuff to earn the right to talk smack, otherwise people tend to think one is arrogant, clueless . . .

PS Also, I would like to know more about that comment he made about the Iraq war in that CNN debate in the Reagan library where he said something like the violence in Iraq was a ''false choice'' and that it wasn''t about the violence it was about the troops. What exactly did he mean by that?

I took it to mean that he was driven to support the surge because it was what the troops wanted and he''s all about supporting the troops, and that addressing the violence wasn''t his primary consideration. I think clarification is important because it goes to what criteria McSurge considers when making policy decisions.

Bomb Iran was just ridiculous!

pt 1

"Clinton''s campaign quoted a McCain economic adviser as dismissing Obama''s proposals as "the most shameless piece of potential plagiarism" that he had seen because of its similarity to Clinton''s own plan."

If this type of (lol) ''zinger'' is indicative of the caliber of McCain''s ability to fight back, Obama''s going to win in November by a landslide because all it does is highlight McCain''s ineptitude and paints him into a box.

If they''re accusing Obama of ''plagiarism'' because he like virtually all of us believes the Government has a responsibility to strengthen our nation''s infrastructure (which also creates construction jobs and stimulates the economy), then McCain must now take the position that he''s against spending money on strengthening the nation''s infrastructure otherwise he''ll be a hypocrit. Either McCain''s for privatization of all highways and bridges or else he''s a hypocrit and a ''plagiarist''...which is it?

pt 2

The greater issue is this - McCain claims he''s for making tax cuts permanent and for cutting spending... but where does he stand on deficit spending and paying down the deficit? If he''s not willing to increase revenues via a repeal of the tax cuts and if he also claims to be for paying down the deficit, then in what areas does 100-year-war McSurge intend to cut spending? Is he going to privatize all elementary schools? Is he going to scrimp on extended healthcare for veterans? Is he going to ignore the next Katrina? Pork barrel spending only amounts to a couple of billion - the war in Iraq costs $300 billion+ a year

With all due respect to Senator McCain, McSurge needs to explain why supporting using our tax dollars to pay for the infrastructure of Iraq makes one a ''patriot'' but supporting using our tax dollars to pay for the infrasturcure of the US makes one a ''plagiarist'' . . .

It''s not Obama that needs to fill in the details . . .

Many of the "Super Delegate" votes are in the hands of women who feel an obligation to vote for Hillary for the simple fact that she is a woman. How ludicrous if it weren''t so important.

My concern now is the course the "Super Delegates" will take. They had best honor our votes and give their "Super Electoral Votes" to the popular vote of the people. Our voices, our votes, had better be taken seriously or I see a rise in revolt against, the Democratic Party, the electoral system, and the politicians that used their votes against our choice.
Should Obama NOT receive the Super Delegates vote if he wins by plurality, I will vote for the Green Party candidate and protest loudly against the obvious lack of honesty with the electoral process.
I suggest that we begin a groundswell against the use of "Super Delegate" votes and return to the popular vote only. Makes sense, doesn''t it?

matthew2144,

Those of us who take the time to research all candidates know that Obama has had the same positions on his website for a year and hasn''t wavered or tailored his views to the whims of Hillary. You know not of what you speak.

If I''m wrong why don''t you specify what these wonderful original ideas of hillary''s re that she didn''t get from some think tank. Her health plan was stolen directly from mitt Romney and won''t work any better than the originl has.

As soon as they listen to this extraordinarily gifted speaker, they will back him. If the failed , divisive policies of the baby boomeresare the past, then Obama is, thankfully, the future.

And soon, the witch will be gone.

Don''t fall for Obama''s celebrity. If you listen closely to his speeches, you''ll see that there are no real solutions or plans being laid out. And the one''s that are included, he too from Hillary Clinton''s ideas.

I believe in the AUDACITY OF NOPE and I''m voting for Senator Hillary Clinton.

If we are moving by "increments"...those "increments" are taking us in the wrong direction...and we are walking calmly down the road to Corporatist Tyranny voting ourselves into a police state...To''ell with that!...

....Vote Third Party! Fight the Oligarchy and stop pretending that we are winning when the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, the undeclared wars based on lies and false flag operations are taking us steadily down the road to Corporate serfdom. Vote Third Party and start taking our freedom back!

Obama promises revolution, which in the hands of the uninitiated, can be a very painful process. Look at how long it took Lenin to get it right... Oops, he was killed before it really went South at the hands of Stalin. At the other end of the spectrum, Hitler also delivered a revolution... We all know how that ended. Progress must be gradual and evolutionary... We can''t go from being the U.S. to turning into Sweden overnight... Not that is wouldn''t be fun to have red light districts in every town across the U.S. Clinton or McCain will get my vote. I am terrified of putting a "Rebel without a clue" leading this country. This country is not ready for another clueless presidency.

Mckain and Mrs Clinton do not need budget expenses annual. They have their own barrel pork in the senate with every war the go. That is Bush legacy. The more and less fiscalized money will be in war. With Clinton and Mckain we will be in war until the empire be fearly destroyed based in the corseps it let arround the world.

I heard on the internet that Obama is going to force all white Christian children to become Muslims just like he is. He will also force them to join al Qaeda. I am an ignorant redneck so it is easy for me to believe whatever I want to believe.

I wonder how many of those 971,094 realized that Obama is rated as the most liberal senator in the Senate? How many know that, as an Illinois state legislator, Obama voted "present" (in other words, he wouldn''t take a stand) on a bill that would have that would have prohibited a procedure often referred to as partial birth abortion. Obama voted "present" on SB 759, a bill that required mandatory adult prosecution for firing a gun on or near school grounds. The bill passed the state Senate 52-1. Also, Obama voted "present" on HB 854 that protected the privacy of ***-abuse victims by allowing petitions to have the trial records sealed. He was the only member to not support the bill. Obama voted "present" on two parental notification abortion bills (HB 1900 and SB 562), and he voted "present" on a series of bills (SB 1093, 1094, 1095) that sought to protect a child if it survived a failed abortion. And finally in 2001, Obama voted "present" on SB 609, a bill prohibiting strip clubs and other adult establishments from being within 1,000 feet of schools, churches, and daycares. A "present" vote is generally used to provide political cover for legislators who don''t want to be on the record.
Is this the kind of person we want to be President. Is he is unwilling to take a stand on anything? Sure he makes a good speech, but what does he stand for??

I liked a lot of things about Ron Paul but to be honest... Change is going to have to come in waves. That is...Unless you support a violent overthrow.
