Washington Post: Democratic Front-Runners Try Backing Away From Racially-Charged Debate

Bill Clinton called Obama''s claims about his record on Iraq "the biggest fairy tale I''ve ever seen," a comment that some black leaders interpreted as belittling Obama, and Hillary Clinton''s statement on the roles of King and President Johnson in passing civil rights legislation, which she capped by saying: "It took a president to get it done."

O.K. where are the racial tones. Where in Bill Clinton''s statement was anything said about Obama being black? Second, MR MLK Jr could not have signed or pushed civil rights legislation through Congress. The so-called black leaders that are stirring the pot are the ones that wanted the White House and didn''t get the support they thought they were going to. Black-Americans are 11% of the American population, that doesn''t add up to a majority percentage.

Another gift from the Democrats on the left coast

A new, highly drug-resistant strain of MRSA, or methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, has moved outside hospitals and is now spreading among gay men, researchers reported Monday.

Some of the hardest hit areas are San Francisco, Boston, New York and Los Angeles, according to a San Francisco Chronicle report.

Click here to read the San Francisco Chronicle story.

In regards to San Francisco, the study found sexually active gay men are 13 times more likely to be infected than the general population.

"We probably had it here first, and now it is spreading elsewhere," said Binh An Diep, a researcher at San Francisco General Hospital and lead author of the report, in a news release. "This is a national problem, and San Francisco is at the epicenter."

Although researchers have stopped short of declaring this form of staph a sexually transmitted disease, the infections are found where skin-to-skin contact occurs during sexual activity.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), MRSA is responsible for about 19,000 deaths annually in America %u2014 most of which occur in the hospital.

The findings appear online in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine.

Thanks Nancy Pelosi

This is the same church (Trinity United Chruch of Christ) that gave Louis Farrakhan its highest honor last year (see Trumpet Magazineon website). Farrakhan is the acting head of the Nation of Islam as the National Representative of Elijah Muhammad. He is also well-known as an advocate for African American interests and a critic of American society. This is the same person that was censured unanimously by the United States Senate for a speech that included -- Here the Jews don''t like Farrakhan and so they call me ''Hitler''. Well that''s a good name. Hitler was a very great man. Yeah - that church

It''''s not about whites; it''''s about Bill and Hillary, and no; it''''s not about them being racist; it''''s about them being Machiavellian, while pretending not to be.

Blah, blah, blah Posted by chitown639 --- I always laugh when non-functioning, hate wielding mungrels like Chitown cannot accept reasoning and hunker down in a role dug by themselves and then complain that the government should get them out. If America wants an experiment conducted for the presidency, then they will vote for Obama, but many voters have brains and will see the ''true mountaintop'' and Obama is not there. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the truth is sometimes hard to see with Blinder on.

Barack Obama has many negatives for many voters. Many blacks consider him an ''''Uncle Tom'''' who think that nothing will change if he is elected to the White House. Many others still fear that Obama is Muslim or they totally disagree with his ''''Black'''' Church ideals. Obama''''s wife is considered a Racist and radical woman by many whites. Plus his true lack of experience will tarnish any hopes he has for the Presidency. I do not support Hillary Clinton but will most likely vote for her since none of the Republicans can be trusted. Just my take but Obama has not even been tried and tested - it will be his downfall.

Wow!!! Great piece of FEAR MONGERING!!! But, just for kicks, let me ask...how deep into Senator Obama and his family past do you think the Secret Service, FBI, CIA and all other government agencies have dug??? Oh, and lets not forget the media!!! You dont think they know about everything in Obamas past? Especially, since hes black? Or do you think that your own INTERNET INVESTIGATION is more accurate?

Hillary will say or do anything to get the nomination even if it is lie, cheat, steal, manipulate, insult, degrade, connive, destroy, humiliate, condecend, disrespect, or eliminate. Being tough is one thing, being an embarressment is another. The Clintons do not deserve or have earned the right to be back in the White House, They did no justice to our country by being there before, regardless of what minor things were accomplished, Hillary is not experianced by association nor is she able to lead a country that needs more of a credible human being. Too many people dislike her already, this is not a wise choice to make

Gallup says

Clinton leads Obama by substantial margins among whites, women, middle-aged adults, seniors, people who identify themselves as Democrats, and among self-described conservatives, moderates, and liberals. Obama leads, and leads big, among young adults and blacks. The two are closely matched among men and independents who lean Democratic. posted be pepperp1

You cant trust the polls anymore...Dennis Kucinich may pull out a win!!!

And this little tid bit to chew on this of course before the Dem food fight the weekend

An average of 27.7% of Americans identified as Republicans, based on more than 26,000 Gallup interviews in 2007. The previous low in Republican identification was 28.1% in 1999.

Meanwhile, 32.5% of Americans identified as Democrats and 38.6% as political independents last year. The latter percentage is on the high end of what Gallup has measured in the last two decades, surpassed by only the 39.1% independent identification average from 1995. The high point for Democratic identification came in 1988, when 35.6% said they were Democrats.
