I also believe that for the good of the United States that Pat Robertson should be forced into retirement.

The mind of God is in the Bible. Read it. Think of it this way. You''re father gives you a bike for your birthday. And you give it away. So he goes and gets you another one. You leave it unlocked, and someone steals it. So, he goes and gets you another one, and without a fight, you let someone take it from you. It leaves the father with a decision to make. Either stop buying bikes for you or teach you to fight.
God doesn''t want to stop giving us good things. But, if we give them away, let them get stolen, or let someone else take it without a fight, then he will stop until we learn to fight for them.
That is why the United States is losing its position as the world economic leader. That is why so many people are making plenty of money but it seems that they are no better off than someone who isn''t making as much money. That is why our children are rebelling against us and following a path that we didn''t teach them to follow. We are failing to fight for them. So, we are losing everything, little by little, one by one. And who benefits? Illegal aliens, thieves, terrorists, some of the dishonest people in our Congress, and welfare recipients who refuse to work even though they are well able.

You take it on religous faith that there is no God. In fact, you take a lot of things on religious faith. How do you justify using logic? Again, just blind faith. You should read a bit of one of your fellow atheists, David Hume. He had quite a bit to say on that subject. If you do you''''ll learn a lot about how much you actually do take on blind faith.

There is no such thing as a "fellow atheist", because it''s no a religion or set of beliefs. The is no church of atheism or tents of faith. Christians in particular seem to be really hung up on trying to make it into one though as they''re unable to grasp the concept of non-belief. It is not a belief in there not being a god in a religious sense. It''s an understanding that there is no god, therefore there is nothing to believe or not believe in. I don''t not believe in god. I can''t not believe in a myth.

I figured out that horrendous number...and it''s quadruple that. Not to mention the other 12 wars we are trying to fight.

To Americanize the "Church on Sunday, kill the Jews on Monday", we could also say ''Whip your slaves on Monday'', or ''Drop Napalm on Vietnamese villages on Monday'', or ''Shock and Awe Iraq on Monday'', or ''Vote for Cheney and Bush on Tuesday''

I understand that the United States is at stake in the next election. We stand to lose everything if we don''t have the right leader in there. The ACLU has lost focus and spends BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars fighting Christians in legal battles over whether a cross or the 10 commandments should be displayed. Whether homosexuals are a race or if they made a psychotic choice for a lifestyle. Whether we should allow mothers who don''t want their unborn children to murder them in order to cover up an inappropriate ralationship. And, by the way, Congress provided money to both illegalize abortion and to give Planned Parenthood to hire expensive lawyers to fight it. Their burning both ends against the middle. And the taxpayers are LOSING, while Christians are stuck paying taxes to support both causes, and find themselves supporting organizations like the ACLJ (American Center for Legal Justice) to fight for the things they believe in. The right to life, the right to assemble peacefully, the right to worship freely, and the right to display any religious symbol that reminds them of who they are.

You are quoting from the Old Testament, and are conveniently forgetting the BASIC CENTRAL FUNDAMENTAL teachings of Jesus. If you are honest with yourself you will admit it. You are proving how easy it is to twist the Bible to fit any agenda. The Germans did it in the 1930s and 1940s, as I mentioned.

It is good to hear that you oppose the Bush/Cheney agenda. Perhaps you, like most Americans watching the corporate media cheerleaders, didn''t realize that Bush was lying through his teeth BEFORE he started his Disaster War...

But, my comments still stand as far as where you get the rationalization for ''fighting for your country'' from the words of Jesus. How so many millions of so-called Christians can and DO support the Cheney/Bush War, is what I find so appalling. Pat Roberson, who has a few million (at least) followers/supporters even called for the assassination of Hugo Chavez! There are some ''Christians for Israel'' who want Bush to launch a strike on Iran, now. This is really sickening.

However many, many Christians like myself would never support a Bush or a Cheney. We believe what Jesus taught us. Peace!! Not Fear, Not War, Not death and destruction, and not $600 BILLION Wasted.

When he told the soldier to do his duty. When God led the Jews out of Egypt by Moses and found themselves having to be trained warriors as well as farmers. When God made it clear that if a soldier became afraid, broke ranks, and ran from the enemy in battle that he should be immediately killed. When he told a great leader in the Old Testament to choose 350 people to invade a camp of their enemy numbering about 3,000 to kill them. God expects us to FIGHT for the things he gave us. So, uh...my only question is, why aren''t we?

Yes, interesting that these NeoCons put down Hillary''s laugh in preference the snide arrogant sneers of Darth Vader Cheney, and the little Shrub''s idiotic heh-heh-heh-heh pathetic dog panting antics.

(not that I''m a fan of Hillary Clinton - but my reasons are due to her corporate-owned DLC positions and inclinations, not her laugh)

You haven''t been following have you. I''m against Bush and Cheney, who have refused to listen to ANYONE on the handling of the war since before they were elected to a second term. They lost my support shortly after it was CLEAR that we needed to regroup and reformulate our strategy in Iraq when it was obvious that it wasn''t working. That was in year 3 of Bush''s first presidency. I still believe that creating three different countries under their own flags with their own governments is a good idea. And, frankly, the oil fields should be manned and run by someone else who will fairly distribute the profits among the new nations. And NOT the U.S.

Well, I can tell you one thing, that if you elect Huck, McCain, Clinton, or Obama, there are going to be problems. I don''t think any of them have the tools necessary to put this country on the right track. They have too many conflicting interests that are harmful to the American people. And if Hillary wanted to have the taxpayers pay $18,000,000 to rebuild Woodstock, just imagine what the taxpayers will be paying if she becomes president.

What nonsense! Please quote me the words of Jesus when he says that "we should fight for our country"! The German Christian Nazis would have agreed with you, as they launched their Wars in Europe.

Also, if you are intolerant of crime, then I am sure you support Impeachment and Jail for Cheney and Bush, who clearly LIED us into a WAR in Iraq, resulting in the death of hundreds of thousands.

You hypocritical fundamentalist Christians are really sick or brainwashed of very confused. Jesus was very clear with his very powerful words - there is no way to justify your support for the Cheney/Bush War Mongers, torturers, Constitution shredders. Just as the Germans morphed their Jesus into a religion that allowed them to go to church on Sunday and murder people in gas chambers on Monday.

No, we do not. Atheism is not a religion, in spite of Christians insisting otherwise because they are unable to grasp the concept of not believing in a god or religion.

Back soon.
