General Patton was a believer in Jesus Christ who EVEN had a chaplain pray for good battle weather, and got it. General Patton was one of the greatest Generals of our time.

Have you read the Uniform Code of Military Justice? It is almost EXACTLY word for word the law of the Old Testament. Have you studied the pattern of ranks in the military? Read the Old Testament and find out that the rank structure is EXACTLY the same. Squad, Squad Leader: Platoon, Platoon Seargent: Unit, First Seargeant. Then Captain, Major, Colonel, General.

And if you look at the law, you would SWEAR you were reading the first five books of the Old Testament.

Well, one thing is certainly true about the people on this board. With a couple of exceptions:

You are all fascist, intolerant pigs, that have NO brain. You THINK you know, but you DON''T.

You are all poverty stricken and want the government to take care of you. And you''re too lazy to find a JOB.

You think that the idea behind living in the principles of Jesus Christ actually gives you freedom is ridiculous. When has being compassionate to your fellow man put you in jail? When has obeying the law ever hurt anyone besides renegades?

Odenspear - I think it''''s hilarious that Christians have to identify themselves by what brand of Christianity they believe. Back in the Roman heyday, it was just Christians versus lions. Now it''''d have to be Springfield First Conservative Baptist Church 9:00 AM service group versus lions.--downtowner97

Haha, was just listening to "Christians to the Lions" by Behemoth. I said "Roman" cause I guess that''s just a habit. Oh well.

OdensSpear- Calling yourself a Christian doesn''''t make you a Christian. Just saying that Jesus is the Lord of your life doesn''''t make Him Lord of your life. You actually have to obey Him in order for your claim to make any sense at all.--bsrasmus

Hah, funny coming from a faith that likes to just say "I accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and savior." And then ignore most of his teachings. I follow the teachings of Jesus, I help those in need, I do my best to love others, and care for the well being of all. I believe salvation is for all, not for an elect. Jesus did say to spread his word, but Francis of Asissi once said "Preach the Gospel everyday, everywhere. If necessary, use words." Actions are more important then your words, start living with love and respect to your neighbor rather then trying to convert them and criticize their lives. Perhaps then they will be impressed and join on their own.

I am a preacher who believes Huck is a huckster. If he was called to preach, why did he forsake the call? Huck is an apostate with the Bible and the Constitution. Ron Paul understands the sacredness of his oath of office. Vote Ron Paul for President.

No one is interested in a politicians religious beliefs.

No one cares what Huckabees religious affirmations are. He will not lead this country on his religion--God help us if that''s his intent.

Some guy was the son of God and he died for my sins? How could anyone be gullible enough to believe that?

This is a pretty good story by CBS.

Some comments in this forum would indicate they did not read it.

Recommend you read the story.

F*ckabee and his lard-necked pervert son can both go to hell. His son, who made Eagle Scout AFTER being fired from Boy Scout camp, is a total PERVERT and probably was molested by the weirdos who flock to the Scouts OR MAYBE HE''S GOT SOME OTHER THINGS IN HIS PAST TOO and was "inspired" to HANG A STRAY DOG for kicks. DID THE BIG LEATHERDADDY IN THE SKY TELL HIM TO DO IT? Sumbit, doggie, to a hillbilly moron?????!!! Daddy Perv even fired the head of the Arkansas State Police to try to cover his tracks on keeping it quiet. You want this scum-a$$ family in the White House, U.S.???? Then go to hell.

Any religion that considers itself as "the chosen" religion--is a cult.
I have heard so many organized religions making the statement that if you are not of their faith, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Any religion that states you must be "saved" is a cult.
We do not need Huckabees beliefs to enter into the politics of this country.

I really wonder if there is something like a gullible gene, or a group of genes that make people more gullible. If so we would probably find that many religious people have it (especially converts) as well as some conspiracy theorists.

1. Because the concept of religion is one of only few things that could motivated someone to make war. They must prove the strength of their belief, so lets send some of our own (not them personally, mind you) to go kill.

2. Because they had no way of knowing it was not a drill, and no one wants to arrear less than totally committed in front of their fellows.

3. Pimps can be pimps, because there are always willing hoes.

I think of it more as mental weakness, or laziness surrendering your thinking over to others to do for you, then defending as yours thinking which you now accept as your own.
