George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, notwithstanding, their contributions to the "Revolutionary War", they were hypocrites and not the beacon of virtue and morality.

Ulysses S Grant was a drunker, which although Lincoln sung his praises, he stayed drunk throughout the Civil War..

All I have to do so research on line and I''ll bet I can uncover a lot of "skeletons" in the closets of all our Caucasian presidents.

And if you brainless simpleminded idiots can put Bush into office you don''t have a leg to stand on criticizing Obama..

I was deeply touched by his omission and acknowledgment of his estranged father, and he certainly would be a great asset to the countless numbers of fatherless children, predominately, African American.

He will also serve as a catalysis to diversify America into a multidimensional country instead of the stagnate homogeneous society we''ve had to endure for hundreds of years.

I want to hear more about his political views, as oppose of the mindless dribble posted by biased racist posters, on this board.

And the constant racist pandering labeling him a "soldier" for Islam only proves your intellectual defect and inability to think outside the box.

I think it''s wonderful that Mr. Obama has brought himself above his circumstances! And he has a right to be proud of it. And his efforts to help others to do the same is extraordinarily good work.

But for this election, we need to get past that. He is not STRONG enough to fight these bast/ards YET!

That being said, I would LOVE it if Dems managed to blow this election... that would really make me laugh.

DOGSOUL -- They''ve already blown the election. The second REID/PELOSI and their ilk tried to ram the "Surrender" message down our throats.

Not to mention that they havent been able to pass anything in the house and senate. Event the ones that passed, got vetoed. HAHAHAHAHAHA

They dont have a chance in 08

Heartlight I am in total agreement with you. What people also fail to realize is that despite someone''s past or experience in life, WE all have the opportunity to do great things.

Most of the people on this forum however are so blinded by their own hatred and ignorance, that they could never reach their own full potential.

It''s almost 2008, stop thinking like your ancestors did a thousand years ago and use all the FREE access to information to EDUCATE YOURSELVES!

"WOW! Whatta choice: you can take either the coattail riding wife of a House impeached, disbarred, perjured, cheating ex president or a JR senator with ZERO real world experience backed by the wealthiest Black woman in history...Nice work Demotools!!! "

Amen to that... look, I can''t stand liberals - they can ALL go f*ck themselves into a wet dark pit as far as I''m concerned - but JUST for the sake of competitiveness... you really DO have to marvel at the Democrats'' strategy here. I mean, let''s face it - they''ve been beating the drum of surrender in Iraq for a long time - and their mass media machine has done a good job of putting out it''s liberal agenda 24/7 - heck, they even managed to convince people the economy''s bad when it''s been great - brilliant! Now that they''ve got everybody demoralized, duped, & ready to vote in another socialist butt cake Democrat - who do they run??? That''s right folks - a couple of long shots...

I agree Edwards is a smarter bet to win the big prize liberals have betrayed their nation in order to achieve... but I gotta be honest with you folks - he''s a bigger nimrod than either Hillary or Obama

That being said, I would LOVE it if Dems managed to blow this election... that would really make me laugh.

I am appalled at how nasty these comments are. You are making huge negative assumptions about people you know nothing about other than your own biased perceptions. If this is how so many people are thinking these days, it''s no wonder the country is in such a mess. I am ashamed of you.

My situation was the exact opposite. My father made himself available when I was in foster homes and my mother dropped off planet earth when I was ten and I haven''t seen her since. Obama has my empathy nonetheless.

"He has never had a tough executive job (Hillary either) and how will he respond when he encounters a 9/11 event?"

Hello? Do you think Dubya had tough executive jobs?
First daddy buys him an oil company, he bankrupts it, takes huge profits, leaves the retirees stuck.

Then Daddie''s friends buy him a baseball team. His only executive move was to trade away Sammy Sosa.

Then Daddy''s political machine puts him in the Texas statehouse, where almost every piece of legislation he championed has since been reversed.

No executive experience? Obama''s resume doesn''t have a forty year gap in it.

Finally, a man with a REAL American life, not born with a silver spoon in his *** like Dubya. I am looking forward to saying "President Obama". I just hope that the Powers to Be don''''t take him out like they did Jack Kennedy.

ONLY TWO TYPES WILL VOTE FOR OBAMA !
THE IGNORANT AND THE STUPID!
THE IGNORANT CAN STUDY AND TOMORROW HE WILL NOT BE IGNORANT! BUT THE STUPID WILL STILL BE STUPID TOMORROW!
AND THE STUPID CANNOT BE REASONED WITH BECAUSE THEY LACK THE MENTAL CAPACITY TO DO SO !

Senator Obama doesn''''t HAVE a record. At least not much of one in the Senate. He is among the overall leaders in Senators who miss votes. Of the last 60 opportunities to participate in making the laws of the land, the Senator has voted only 6 times. Forget HOW he voted. His recent record shows a 10% interest in the job the people of Illinois hired him for. (Voting records available on the Senate web site or the Washongton Post.)

AND SO YOU WANT TO HAVE A 10% PRESIDENT?
I RECOMMEND YOU FOLLOW OBAMAS FATHERS LEAD AND ABANDON HIM ALSO OR FACE DISASTER!

He has never had a tough executive job (Hillary either) and how will he respond when he encounters a 9/11 event? If he is president, the odds are he will face one and we would all be taken down some path.

Will he be decisive? Would he run from it like his father? Would he hide in the oval office? Or, would he be able to rally us to the cause?

Without much of a resume, it is difficult for us to make a decision on which candidate will be the better person for president.

How can I vote for a man who doesn''t even bother to put his hand over his heart, let alone face the flag, when the National Anthem is played? Father or no, he should be respectful of the flag and the Anthem. Full story coverage at snopes.com.
