- "54% of Americans say they will not vote for another Neocon for President. This clearly trumps the jinGOPig Nazi lovers from the Southern Confederate States. Muslims are no problem with me, it is the Fascist Evangelical jinGOPigs from the Confederate States that are the biggest threat to world peace. Some of these fools are even on this board as we speak. "
Ha, you nimrod - posting the same stuff over & over again I see?
Hmmm... 54% eh?? What an impressive poll you''ve got there... not as good as the Florida exit polls, but close.
Sure you''ve got no problem with radical Muslims - but you DO hate Christians and a good portion of Americans... sounds pretty much par for the course for a liberal...
If anyone''s a red neck on here... it''s you

ttinsley,
No matter who the Democratic nominee is the Republicans will do their best to play the divide and conquer games that have worked so well for them in the past( Nixon''s southern strategy, Atwater''s Willie Horton campaign, etc.) Those tactics have been overused and are paying diminishing returns because of the sorry record they have to run on. But make no mistake, they''ll smear a white man as much as a black or a woman.
The hard core 35% that responds to this kind of attack wouldn''t vote Democratic anyways. They''re cancelled out by the 35% who will vote for any Democrat running against any Republican. Neither of those groups will decide the election.
The traditional battleground voting blocks who went for Clinton in ''92 & ''96 and less so for Gore in 2000 & Kerry in 2004 tend to be independent, socially moderate, and fiscally conservative. They don''t care what color or *** a candidate is. They care what candidate can keep their kids out of combat, provide healthcare for them and their parents, be fiscally responsible, and heal the divisions in the country.
America is ready for someone to do that and it doesn''t matter whether they''re black or white or man or woman.
If Republicans smear the dem, all the better. With what''s going on in the country negative politics will backfire. What dems need to fear is a negative Hillary using dirty politics on the Republicans. Tat will backfire too.- Reply to this comment
- When we have a candidate that is intelligent and honest enough to say, "I don''t believe in God at all. America is, and was always intended to be, a secular nation, anyway. If you want a religious nation, move to the Middle-East. We can not afford fantasies; look what they''ve done to us so far," I''ll campaign for him or her. And when we have a population capable of electing that candidate, America will have a chance of rising above its current problems. Until then it''s business as usual, so who cares?

- "We need the American people to come together and strengthen this country, there will always be difference, there will always be "sides" to pick BUT both sides have some good points and if we quit mud slinging and try and work on the issues and try and be intellegent hard working Americans, maybe, just maybe, we can pull this country together. "
I would agree, except to say that liberals have clearly demonstrated that they will even go so far as to support radical Islamic terrorists who have & will continue to launch attacks on this country if it means they can get into the White House. They have zero interest in any kind of consensus - they only want power - and will willingly... no eagerly sell their country to its enemies in order to achieve that goal... Like Hillary demonstrated as she stood there, representing New York, rolling her eyes as Bush gave the first speech after 9/11 & only after having served a very short time himself... liberals don''t care about this country - and in some respects, they loathe America & would rather discard it in favor of some socialist liberal state more like France...

- Obama is pretending to be representative of the black movement,but he is getting little support;his father was from Kenya and his mother was caucasian,from US.That''s why the african-american community supports Hillary;
The question is this:after he fails to get the nomination, will anyone remember his name? Will he keep all the money that was donated to his campaign? - Reply to this comment
- HA! Listen to these liberals... they''re basking in the massive amphitheatre of the mass liberal media machine, and all they can do is whine & throw tantrums about little ol'' Fox News...
btw - are you suggesting Rudy was ''in on'' the 9/11 plot? Of course, the conspiracy theory crackpots are always liberals as well... besides, he''s a very very liberal Republican - expect of course that he''s against Al Queda & socialism

- Obama is just another member of the CFR(Council on Foreign Relations) just like Bush, Cheney, Clinton, Giuliani, Huckabee, Edwards, Romney, Biden, McCain, Richardson, and Thompson to name a few.
The CFR has hijacked the foreign policy of both parties and their main goal is to destroy American sovereignty and our constitution leading to the formation of a North American Union with Canada and Mexico.
Dr. Ron Paul is NOT a member of the CFR and he is the only pro-peace and pro-liberty candidate running for president.

- I don''t care about the gender, color or religion of a candidate - I care only about the qualifications. I also don''t care if someone takes the oath of office on a Koran, a Bible or a shopping list. Its what we as a people are supposed to be all about - Tolerance!
What bothers me is the filth of certain campaigns and the money and effort dedicated to uncovering dirt on opponents. We should be very afraid of people that will resort to anything to get elected, especially trying to benefit at the expense of others. If you can''t win on you''re own record, you don''t deserve to be elected. - Reply to this comment

- How did i know that the attacks would start on Obama? Because it always does. White folks fear ignorant black men in Hoodies as well as black men in with Ivy league educations and suits. This is America, and as hard as it may be to belive, there is no way that America is ready for anything black or female for president. We have not come that far after all. Just wait people, it will get worse and if push comes to shove, can anyone say "hanging Chad?"

- what is really scary - after reading alot of these postings (some I admit quite intellegent) that you people actually go out and vote. From your posting, I can''t see where alot of you are actually capable of voting intellegently. We need the American people to come together and strengthen this country, there will always be difference, there will always be "sides" to pick BUT both sides have some good points and if we quit mud slinging and try and work on the issues and try and be intellegent hard working Americans, maybe, just maybe, we can pull this country together.

- It is so sad. Obama is being maligned out of fear -- fear of the black man. The majority (white) in the U.S. retains fear and prejudice born out of the Civil War. It is a shame we can''t get past it.

- Washington Post Journamalism!
I hear rumors that the writer of this piece, Perry Bacon Jr., is a goat molester. Because this is a rumor (that Perry Bacon Jr. is a goat molester) I must repeat this rumor. I shall not seek to determine whether or not there is any truth to this rumor, that Perry Bacon Jr. is a goat molester, because my job as a journalist is to be a stenographer and to inform you instead of the existence of this rumor (Perry Bacon Jr. is a goat molester). - Reply to this comment
- Shame on you CBS News for taking a story that was not even RESEARCHED and has been Internet LIES & RUMOR from the get go..... Have you stopped doing your job as "journalists" too?

- When Obama first announced he was seeking the Democratic nomination Black Leaders cringed and said they would not support him! They gave 2 reasons, first, to protect Obama, they predicted he would be assassinated and Obama is in fact the first candidate to receive U.S. Secret Service Protection this early in a Presidential Campaign. Second, they said if Obama wins the nomination he will take down the entire Democratic Ticket in defeat because the election will turn ugly and focus on his "race" citing the U.S. is currently not ready to elect a Black President. Unfortunately I agree, I said at the beginning I think America will be ready in 8 years and selecting Obama as the nominee is handing the Republicans the Presidency on a "Silver Platter". There is pie in the sky and then there is the real World! Many Republicans "secretly" want Obama to win so they can "Swift-Boat" him like they did Harold Ford of Tennessee and start their no n.i.g.g.e.r for President attacks and ad campaigns! You know its true, real World America. The first thought that came to my mind after the collective assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. was that Southern States are still fighting the U.S. Civil War in a sleep-walking kind of way! and retiring Sen. Lotts statement at Strom Thurmonds retirement confirmed it, every now and then the real truth slips out! America needs a little more time, 8 years should just about do it!
