What is it with carpetbaggers moving into New York''s Senate seats? First Bobby Kennedy, then Hillary and now Bill. Doesn''t America''s second most populous state have any home-grown talent?

I would wish the best for the nation, and that would be former President Bill Clinton sit on the Supreme Court. They could use some fresh, represent-the-people and let''''s-correctly-interpret-the-Constitut
ion thinking and support.

That is an extremely interesting idea.

What in the world would be Bill Clinton''''s motivation to accept the senate seat if offered? The Clinton foundation raises vast sums of money and requires global travel. As a sitting senator, the senatorial pay check would not adequately compensate him for his time. Anyone appointed to serve out Hillary''''s term will prove to be a reliable democratic vote. Bill Clinton would also prove to be a distraction to the administration. This is a "lose-lose" scenario.

But Bill is not into those Senate page boys, and besides he wants to be emperor. So make him secretary general of the United Nations; they have lots of interns over at the UN, and plenty of money passing through to skim off.

"and offer a refreshing reverse twist on a tradition whereby deceased male senators, representatives or governors are succeeded by their widows."

Is this the unofficial obituary for Hillary''s career?

If Bill would get the job as senator of New york, he would not get to make the speeches for the overseas money. It would be good for hillary, Obama and Bill. It is a perfect fit.

He should not be allowed any senate pages or interns though

Bill Clinton is a great mind. His presence in the Senate would be good for ANY state he represents. New york AND America would be well served if he would accept the job!

I would welcome Bill Clinton anytime, anywhere. I just don''t get it with these people who can''t remember what it was like 8 years ago when the Clintons were in the White House and all was well with this great land. Sure, things were not perfect, but they were a heck of a lot better than they are now. Bill Clinton wasn''t perfect either, as none of us are, but he wasn''t stupid, and he wasn''t a puppet, which is more than we can say about the leadership of the last 8 years. I''d rather have a president (or senator) who has a weakness for the ladies than a president (or senator) who has a weakness of brain cells. I think Bill would make a wonderful senator and Hillary will make a fantastic Secretary of State, and Mr. Obama is GOING TO BE A GREAT PRESIDENT.

Help is on its way? With whose money? It will run out and then what? Obama will be standing alone looking like the fool with whom you elected, saying :
"...but I wasn''t experianced to run this country, why did you choose me?" Never his fault. Never your fault, either, right??

As a constituent of Hillary, who has done a great job by the way, I would welcome Bill as her replacement!

He would be a junior Senator and would have to wait years to chair a good committee. I don''t think Bill would stomach that.

OK, OK, I like the idea but, for the sake of the argument, how should he be addressed? Mr. Prez, or Senator Clinton? Hmmmmmm!
