- Once the election is over, the glittering generalities of rhetoric and style will mean nothing. Everything will depend on performance in facing huge challenges, domestic and foreign.
Performance is where Barack Obama has nothing to show for his political career, either in Illinois or in Washington.
Policies that he proposes under the banner of "change" are almost all policies that have been tried repeatedly in other countries-- and failed repeatedly in other countries.
Politicians telling businesses how to operate? That''s been tried in countries around the world, especially during the second half of the 20th century. It has failed so often and so badly that even socialist and communist governments were freeing up their markets by the end of the century.

- Of course McBush''s ads are negative. There is nothing positive about his proposed policies. I''ll be glad when this race is over so that the bigots may quit posting all the BS about Obama being racist. What a joke! If anything, McBush supporters have revealed themselves as bigots and racists with their snarky comments and insinuations.

- That''s what happens when you have no plans to help the middle class and working people. When your party has been exposed as a complete failure. When you have no knowledge to fix foreign and financial policies. And you pick a right wing extremist with no experience to be the next pResident. And you are know as the McSame as McBush, the worst pResident in history (even worse than Reagan).

- Mccain has to run rough the media other than fox dosn''''t do their job Obama has free passes from the media so Mccain has no choice. If news media did their job Mccain wouldn''''t need to run an ad because Obama would have resign by now with all the Radical ties and lies.

Maybe no one cares about the supposed "dirt" except a few desperate dead-enders clinging to the hope that Republicans will somehow hold on to any little bit of power? - Reply to this comment
- McCain recently said that he voted with Bush most of the time... The Obama campaign has shown that clip over and over.
Does that make it a negative add... no, I don''t think so.
McCain is getting free airtime... the Bush lovers would surely enjoy seeing McBush embrace his friends in the current administration. - Reply to this comment
- Obama has stated that he believes the constitution to be list of negative liberties; constraints put on us by our forefathers. He has also said that he wishes that the supreme court would have ventured into the issue of wealth distribution. Obama doesn''t agree with what the constitution stands for and he wishes for more activist judges? How can he swear to uphold and defend the laws of this land if he does not recognize them?

- People may think McCain is doing all the negative advertising but its not true. Obama has spent more money on negative ads this campaign than any presidential candidate in history. That may be only because he had more money to spend . . but still. Facts are facts.
