Once the election is over, the glittering generalities of rhetoric and style will mean nothing. Everything will depend on performance in facing huge challenges, domestic and foreign.

Performance is where Barack Obama has nothing to show for his political career, either in Illinois or in Washington.

Policies that he proposes under the banner of "change" are almost all policies that have been tried repeatedly in other countries-- and failed repeatedly in other countries.

Politicians telling businesses how to operate? That''s been tried in countries around the world, especially during the second half of the 20th century. It has failed so often and so badly that even socialist and communist governments were freeing up their markets by the end of the century.

POLLS ARE TIED. DON''T LET THE UNINFORMED PEOPLE OR THE MEDIA FOOL YOU ...AGAIN.

Of course McBush''s ads are negative. There is nothing positive about his proposed policies. I''ll be glad when this race is over so that the bigots may quit posting all the BS about Obama being racist. What a joke! If anything, McBush supporters have revealed themselves as bigots and racists with their snarky comments and insinuations.

That''s what happens when you have no plans to help the middle class and working people. When your party has been exposed as a complete failure. When you have no knowledge to fix foreign and financial policies. And you pick a right wing extremist with no experience to be the next pResident. And you are know as the McSame as McBush, the worst pResident in history (even worse than Reagan).

Mccain has to run rough the media other than fox dosn''''t do their job Obama has free passes from the media so Mccain has no choice. If news media did their job Mccain wouldn''''t need to run an ad because Obama would have resign by now with all the Radical ties and lies.

Maybe no one cares about the supposed "dirt" except a few desperate dead-enders clinging to the hope that Republicans will somehow hold on to any little bit of power?

McCain recently said that he voted with Bush most of the time... The Obama campaign has shown that clip over and over.

Does that make it a negative add... no, I don''t think so.

McCain is getting free airtime... the Bush lovers would surely enjoy seeing McBush embrace his friends in the current administration.

Obama has stated that he believes the constitution to be list of negative liberties; constraints put on us by our forefathers. He has also said that he wishes that the supreme court would have ventured into the issue of wealth distribution. Obama doesn''t agree with what the constitution stands for and he wishes for more activist judges? How can he swear to uphold and defend the laws of this land if he does not recognize them?

People may think McCain is doing all the negative advertising but its not true. Obama has spent more money on negative ads this campaign than any presidential candidate in history. That may be only because he had more money to spend . . but still. Facts are facts.

Why has the Price of Oil per barrel dropped?
And, why did it rise? Demand is down, has been down, and will continue to diminish.

Why hasn%u2019t the price of Gasoline declined in proportion to the rate of Oil per barrel, like it did when the price per barrel was rising?

Vote the Republican Exxon Corporation out of office would be the first action Americans need to take in holding our Government and Private Multinational Corporations accountable to the People of the United States.

Sorry One American 7,8,9..whatever you are today. We have had it with the lies and smears. I''ll admit that it took a while for us to get it but we finally did. Your comments mean absolutely nothing since they are only your opinion. You know what they say about opinions don''t you? Opinions are like *********, everybody has one. You are nothing more than a cut and paste troll and you are wasting your time here. It has been a dark and frightening 8 years but a new day is dawning and you can either get on board or continue to gripe and complaign. The choice is yours. How about turning off Rush Limbaugh and coming out into the light.

All McCain and Palin do is attack.

It''s the most disgusting campaign I''ve seen in my life (45 years).

I was once a proud Republican. My first vote was for Ronald Reagan. To this day, I still admire him for realizing the middle class needed some help.

McCain and Palin would make Reagan sick to his stomach. Reagan brought Americans together. McCain and Palin only know how to divide. After 9/11, we were one. Thanks to people like Bush, McCain, and Palin we have seen that division has destroyed the American dream.

Unprecedented inexperience for the office.

Unprecedented ties to criminals and terrorists.

Unprecedented associations to voter fraud groups.

Unprecedented capitulation to America''''s enemies.

Unprecedented arrogance.

Unprecedented lack of good judgment.

Unprecedented lurch towards a Socialist Dictatorship.

This is not the "change" America needs.

This is what needs to be changed in America.

Reject Barack Obama.

Well what do you expect when you hire Bush''s people to run your campaign. Fear and smear is all they know.
John "I promise to run a positive campaign" McCain has flushed his pride and honor down the crapper.

Negative adds work better and produce a longer lasting impression.
It makes sense for McCain to go negative only.

That used to be true--but this is a new day. We are tired of the evil and ugliness of negativity. Instead of tearing the other guy down--show us what your candidate has that will help us--because neither our economy, jobs, wars or well being can be fixed by tearing down or blaming someone.

Understnad the paradigm shift Republicans: THIS IS NOT YOUR DAD''S BABY BOOMER AMERICA, ANYMORE

CBS should check out its affiliate KSLA in Shreveport, LA. Evey morning during the 9am local news broadcast, they''ll feed live from whatever McCain/Palin rally is going on then follow up with a story on how McCain is catching up in whatever state then follow up with a negative story about how local people are "ascared" of what an Obama administration will bring to the country.
