by shockolit October 22, 2008 12:59 AM EDT: Most of us never heard of Joe the Plumber until McCain brought him up in the debate. That is who Joe should thank. If someone used my name in a polital debate without my permission, I would be out there chasing down the press to raise the roof. Surely Joe was in on it from the start, and will end up owning a few plumbing companies. Even if he is not paid off for his part in this, if he has a good agent, he will make out well. by tired202420 October 22, 2008 12:01 AM EDT: I know most of you on here are in support of OBAMA. But this is a much bigger problem then OBAMA. You have a guy that was playing with his son, in his front yard, asked OBAMA a question and has has his life destroyed.
Can you say big brother... I dont care what party you are in or support but our government is getting very very scary, we all believe in the first amendment. When someone askes a question of a candidate and then gets destroyed do you still feel that is free speech? This is America and we should be able to ask questions weather we are highly educated on the topic or not.
That freedom was the first to go in Nazi Germany so many years ago.. Slowly at first then out of control. Now I am not saying that either party is close to the Nazi party but if you do not look back at history then you are doomed to repeat it...

He tries to intimidate the people who make them as he has with Palin and "Joe the Plumber", dredging up more information on them in two days than the media has exposed about him in two years in campaigning. He tries to intimidate the media channels that dare to run anything he doesn''t like. And if he can''t intimidate them directly, he sends his lawyers after them just as his lawyers are now going after those who are investigating his old outfit, ACORN.

So how long after this election would Obama wait to go after the First Amendment.

But I could understand someone being worried about that, but the problem isn''''t a majority and white house democrat or republican holding, the problem is the agenda and policies. the agenda and policies of the GOP are to rob the middle class.- simple and plain.

by titletrack October 21, 2008 10:48 PM EDT: we are heading for a depression and that was determined eight years ago. it will have nothing to do with the next administration. i am not a far left lunatic either. i am united rational and not selfish. i am quite moderate but if we want our nation to remain the superpower with the highest standard of living, and not a second or third world country, with rich and poor, then we can continue with the bush administration. but it won''''t hurt you so i can understand why your perception and perspective is not inclinded. btw, don''''t assume that i will be hurt either.
