I doubt that folksy style and the winking will have much use in a court of law. They may well be self-defeating assuming the judge does not interpret then as disrespectful and contemptuous (another punishable offense).

I consider myself to be a typical average American; I am educated, hard working and an independent thinker. I take pride in using my brains and in being polite and respectful and considerate. Watching the volatile behavior at McCain rallies make me wince with global embarrassment and, frankly, with fear. I fear for Mr. Obama and for his family and supporters. The air has become rent with an undercurrent of racism wherever McCain supporters congregate.

Name calling and rabble rousing to the edge of violence clearly indicate a weak position as well as a lack of good manners. I pray that there are enough Americans like myself who are wise enough to realize that we need a President who will lead by example and that example should NOT be the one that the McCain/Palin campaign is exhbiting currently.
