Best thing that could have happened. The Dems basically just added on some taxpayer protections to a Wall Street giveaway to get Republicans on board. Because the Republicans blew it up after getting their feelings hurt, it''s made it quite clear that it will be impossible to do the country''s business without the GOP inserting cynical, election-year partisan politics that puts party before country.

So... wait a few weeks. It took years of Republican mismanagement to get us here, we can wait until they American people get a chance to throw some more of these bumbs out to hash out a GOOD deal, once the Republicans (what''s left of them) have been chastened by a clear mandate for change.

We didn''t want to pass their stupid Wall Street handout anyway.

Obama delivered 60% of the Democratic vote for the Bailout, while John McCain delivered 33% of the Republicans. Who created this mess in the first place? Guess who? The Party in power the last 8 years, who failed to enforce regulations, allowed Walls Street to police themselves. So now Republicans who created this mess have walked away from their responsibilities, just like they did in 1929.
