- Everyone knew there would be a convention bounce for McCain; now it''s over, end of story.

- The terrible economy has clearly changed the tide.
McCain''s political history of deregulation has come back to haunt him in a major way.
After 1929, the US added regulation to prevent financial crisis like we have now. McCain and Gramm were the top senators to push through deregulation we have today.
Things are the worst they have been since 1929 because McCain and Gramm listened to their lobbyists instead of the majority of economists.
A recent poll shows 66% of US economist prefer Obama, 28% prefer McCain, and 6% prefer a third party candidate. - Reply to this comment

- I have so much faith in polls, like the one that said Obama would win NH. The ONLY poll that counts is the one in November and Nobody can accurately predict how it will come out. I just hope Obama goes down in Flames!

I actually agree with you but you should have read the GOP faithful posts last week. They were saying that the race was over because McSame had a 1-2 point lead. Well, I am confident that the American people will not elect the lying, distracting, no issues discussing McSame/Palin ticket. Go Obama/Biden!! - Reply to this comment
- A GOP senator tells the truth:
From NBC''s Mark Murray
In an interview with the Omaha World-Herald, Nebraska Sen. Chuck Hagel (R) suggested that Palin doesn''t have the foreign-policy experience to be president. "''She doesn''t have any foreign policy credentials,'' Hagel said in an interview. ''You get a passport for the first time in your life last year? I mean, I don''t know what you can say. You can''t say anything.''"
Check out this other Hagel line: "''I think they ought to be just honest about it and stop the nonsense about, "I look out my window and I see Russia and so therefore I know something about Russia,"'' he said. ''That kind of thing is insulting to the American people.''"
And this one: "''I think it''s a stretch to, in any way, to say that she''s got the experience to be president of the United States,'' Hagel said." - Reply to this comment
- Forget about all the numbers! The things we really care about are the ones affecting us directly. Who will help move us forward so that we can live a decent life? McSame/McPalin are so totally unqualified that it is scary to even envision them in the place of GW. See where we are now. McSame has been there for over 26 years, did nothing, changed nothing and still living in the last century. McPalin, such inexperience and ignorance, that it is conceivable that she would lead us to another unwarranted war with Russia, destroy what is left of the economy (add to damage by GW & cohorts!), and drive us into a depression this world has ever known. Is this what we want? Who cares about polls? We just want a decent life, and McSame/McPalin will ensure that we WOULD NOT ACHIEVE this if they ever manage to get to the WH.

- Which POLITICIAN collected the highest amount of contributions from Fanny Mae afer Chris Dodd? BARACK OBAMA Thats who. And which POLITICIAN hired the former CEO of Fanny Mae Jim Johnson to be his veepee vetter? BARACK OBAMA Thats who. As if Obamas racist church, anti-american friends, mentors, and associates werent enough. And this Chicago style POLITICIAN wants to be our next president? Where is that "above the fray politics" you spoke of Barack? What a joke.

- wonder if t here is any truth to the actual candidate that bumps off mutual opponent will win in November regardless of issues and polls?
provided there is an election considering how the economy may put a stop to it or another Bush/Cheney orchestrated war with Iran, Pakistan, Yemen, etc.
apparently the mutual opponent is wealthy, exposed corruption within both parties and is presently targeted.
wonder how would they bump off mutual opponent?
will Dems use an OJ Simpson-like black convict with jail time waiting? BTW, OJ is available as his trial is underway today.
will GOP use a Guiliani-like mob ties as used by his protege, ex-NYPD commissioner and was indicted for and may be doing up to 140 years of jail time? or use Gotti, Jr. who is also available as his trial is underway today too?
will both parties employ the popular law enforcement practice of ''sweetheart exchange deals'' where convicts commit crime/murders in exchange for less jail time, conveniently covered up and real culprits not suspected?
as this information is given, do we too have to worry about our personal safety? For example, should my diabetic husband worry about his health/life while doing his routine jog after work around 4-4:15pm in the Hackensack, Bogota and Teaneck, areas in NJ today? Do I have to worry about my own safety as I commute to the city via Port Authority bus this afternoon? - Reply to this comment

- So, really!!! Who didn''t see this coming? Sarah was picked as a gimmick to try and sway a dew percentage points worth of Hillary voters. Hillary voters saw something in HILLARY that they wanted. You can''t just insert ANY woman and expect to get them. These are intelligent, committed, passionate people who should be respected and not taken for granted and used as tools. The Republicans blew this one big time.

- Barak Obama will not win in November by capturing voters who supported Bush in the last election. Those who voted for Bush are the same racists who will rush to the polls to vote against the N-word. Obama WILL win this fall, but he will win because he has stirred the spirits of millions of voters who did not vote in the last election, both black and white.
