And how many has McCain written about himself? TWO BOOKS. Blind stupidity is so easy to refute. - Reply to this comment
- Palin just made a really bad first impression on the citizens of this country. People will see through the lies. Palin cut funding for special needs in Alaska and for homeless teenage mothers...the media will hopefully dig into her history, everything about her. We need to know who she is, the truth and about her and her family. I want to know all the dirt on her. I want to know why she cheated on her husband with his business partner, if this kid she just had is it her husbands or a result of the affair...she is all about abstinence till marriage but her daughter apparently is a partier and is now pregnant. I think it''s all open to public scrutiny. If she thought this latest round of the media looking into her personal and professional life was tough well WELCOME TO THE LOWER 48 Sarah. This is how the rest of our country lives. We feed on gossip and celebrity...You are fresh meat.

- Factchecking Palin:
"Whether or not Sarah Palin''s engaging personality matters more than the fact that she tells lies depends a lot on the media, and whether they allow her to say that she opposed the Bridge to Nowhere, or that Obama has never authored a major law or reform, without calling her on it. I hope they do. But I''m not holding my breath."

- Obama''s supporters responded to the RNC speeches by sending money to their candidate. They have not learned .. he out-spent Hillary Clinton in many big states 4 and 5-1 .. and she still beat him. Money does not change his razor-thin resume ... or his lack of work in both the state senate in Illinois and the U.S. Senate. His voting record is abysmal. Palin got one thing really right ... he has written 2 books about himself ... and has written absolutely no significant legislation! He was "present" .. and that''s about it. So ... save your gas and grocery $$$ libs!!

- "In June 2008, Palin spoke at her former church. On the topic of Iraq, she asked that people pray for the soldiers and that "there is a plan and that that plan is God''s plan."
In regards to a proposed natural-gas pipeline she said, "I think God''s will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gas line built."
Separation of church and state with this woman? Acceptance of other points of view and ideologies? Bipartisanship, after that speech?
Lets get real about Palin. - Reply to this comment

Firm second to your comment. Same feelings.
I like McCain, I liked him far less when he let Rovian people take over his campaign. Palin seals it for me.
Palin and her Rush Limbaugh retoric will make NO EFFORT to unite this country. For her, America is Home of the Brave, Land of the Free of Liberals. I''ve gone through 8 years of this garbage, 4 more is too much.
Vote Palin in and the nation continues in division and anger and fear of each other. - Reply to this comment
- Last night, the Republican Convention made it clear they prefer war.
They see the world as a dangerous and terrible place. Like the fascist leaders satirized in Starship Troopers.

- I have a very difficult time understanding the people that think that this election is about ''womens'' rights'', or black vs. white for that matter. What does *** or race have to do with who will take care of our country the best? This is not the time to make a statement! It drives me crazy when I hear lately that women are really excited about Palin because she is female. She is a go-getter maybe but if they do their homework on her, maybe they would find that ALREADY she has a ''past'' that is not so trustworthy. The most important thing that we can do for this election and our country in order to save our future is to do our homework and not vote on emotion, color, or ***. We need someone that can plain and simple... get the job done!

- i didnt watch the speech last night but heard enough negative comments about her extreme right wing agenda. I will be sending Obama money tomorrow, it will be the first time i have ever given money to a politician. Something needs to be done because the right wing Republican party terrorists (yes terrorists) have ruined the Republican party and this country can''t afford to have this extreme right wing agenda continue. McCain yes, Palin NO. I will however be voting for Obama because i have no choice with Palin on the ticket.

- Women will not vote for this ticket just because they have a female on the ballot. That is horribly insulting! Palin is against womens'' rights at their most fundamental level. She believes our troops should be used to advance the "will of God." She is suing the Bush admin. because they are "too liberal." The list goes on and on.

- I think this great! Obama can take another trip to Europe or rent the Superdome. After all Mitt Romney proved that money in an election buys nothing.
And for the women:
What I don''t get is that women have yet another opportunity to exercise the opportunity to move their movement forward in one quantum leap. But their catty behavior will keep them back.
The blacks are going to vote for Obama because he is black. Period.
If women really want to "break the glass ceiling" they will need to get behind a woman in the same way. Hillary Clinton wasn''t it and won''t be because of the ''good ole boys'' in the Democratic Party. So get over it.
Colbert I King, a black journalist with the Washington Post has an agenda. Get Barrack Hussein Obama elected. And now it is clear the national media does also.
When women get behind one of their own in the same way, the world will change. They had their chance with Geraldine Ferraro.
Now 24 years later there stands before them yet another opportunity to make history. What the women of America do with it remains to be see. - Reply to this comment

- The REAL reason why McCain picked Palin:

Interesting reasoning... - Reply to this comment
- Fear that the Dem Party placed way too much emphasis on Iraq. As we continue to get better to good news on a daily basis, think that the primary focus is becoming increasingly blurry. We should be further ahead, Candidly, think being ''tied'' -- as suggested by the CBS poll -- IS NOT COMFORTING!
