- For months, the McCainiacs have said they will run on his judgment and experience. In his first presidential decision, John McCain has shown that he is willing to endanger his country, potentially leaving it in the hands of someone who simply has no business being a heartbeat away from the most powerful, complicated, difficult job in human history.

- Thanks John McSame! I thought it might be close this election cycle until you chose a fundamentally unqualified running mate. She''s like free daypass at the amusement park, you just don''t know where to start.
Her anti-women policies? her homophobia? her anti-environmental record? her marriage to an employee of a foreign oil company? Or the outright fact that she''s a shrew who just last week on the radio airwaves laughed at a political rival (Lyda Green. A fellow Republican and the President of the AK state Senate) for getting cancer?
Sarah Palin is the punchline of the joke that is the McCain presidential campaign. The heck with "Barracuda", they should call her "Anchor". - Reply to this comment
- The Republicans don''t think much of the American woman. Apparently they believe they would vote for anyone if it''s woman. Hillary was not just a woman; she was a woman of substance, gravitas, not fluff. American women should be offended, outraged. They should tell the GOP that yes, they would like to see a woman as VP, but not any woman. They want a woman of substance. Palin does not fill that bill.

- For a man who is 72 years old and has had four bouts with cancer to have chosen someone so completely unqualified to become president is shockingly irresponsible. Suddenly, McCain''s age and health become central issues in the campaign, as does his judgment.

- Republicans in Alaska DETEST Palin:
The legislative leadership of the Alaska Republican Party isn%u2019t enamored with Palin%u2019s selection, either, according to the Anchorage Daily News.
State Senate President Lyda Green said she thought it was a joke when someone called her at 6 a.m. to tell her the news.
"She''s not prepared to be governor. How can she be prepared to be vice president or president?" said Green, a Republican from Palin''s hometown of Wasilla. "Look at what she''s done to this state. What would she do to the nation?"
Green, who has feuded with Palin, brought up the big oil tax increase Palin pushed through last year. She also pointed to the award of a $500 million state subsidy to a Canadian firm to pursue a natural gas pipeline that''s far from guaranteed. - Reply to this comment
- OMG. Brilliant! The dems can kiss my @ss now. McCain clearly cares more about women''''s issues. Bo couldn''''t even choose HRC-which would have assured him victory. What an idiot!

Yep. McCain marries his mistress. Vows to try to overturn Roe V Wade, calls his wife a **** and trollop in public and two weeks ago, claimed his wife could win a great titttie contest. He cares about women''s issues alright. You absolute MUST vote for John McCain--all women should--then when we go to hell in that handbasket since McCain is senile and the "barracuda beauty pageant queen knows nothing about foreign affairs--men will have an excellent argument for repealing the right to let women vote...they are far too emotional and vote with their azzes on their backs and not with their brains--right? - Reply to this comment
- The Alaska governor might be just a %u201Cplain Sarah%u201D herself, but her children%u2019s names are far more dazzling: Track (18), Bristol (17), Willow (13), Piper (7) and Trig (4 months).
Trig has Down syndrome, and his mom told the Anchorage Daily News that he is %u201Cabsolutely perfect.%u201D
Most moms with a kid with down syndrome have to care for that child themselves. Who takes care of Trig? It is not just about having every single baby and cherishing every single life--it is about being there to nurture and raise that baby. How will a VP do that? Moms are the standard nurturers of the species--maybe Sarah feels what Trig does not know will never hurt him. (like the difference between a mom that is there and one that is not) At 4 months old, Trig needs mom at home with him. Nuff said. - Reply to this comment
