- McCain really made out like a bandit. Usually when a guy dumps his wife for the "trophy wife" it is because he has made it financially and just wants some eye-candy on his arm. John not only got the eye-candy, he got billions. I do think it is a bit funny though to be pushing an "elitist" label at Obama when you can''t even remember how many houses you own.
And besides, just the fact that he can''t remember is a bit scary. - Reply to this comment
- Give the McCains a break. They got their money the old-fashioned way: they inherited and married it. That''s not their fault. How can anyone call them elitist because of it?

- So pathetic how Americans have been repeatedly duped by Republicans over the last few decades. They sold the public a bill of goods using guns, abortion, and other such issues. In reality, the Republican policies have enriched the elites and bankrupted both the working-class and the government treasury. Please see this little spat regarding McCain''''s McMansions as merely reflective of a long national nightmare of unfair economic redistribution towards the elites.

- The McCain campaign brought this on themselves as have Republicans over the last decade: they insisted on portraying Obama as the out-of-touch elitist. Let''''s see - raised by middle-class white grandparents, worked his way through school based on his intelligence. Married the wife of middle-class folks who sent their daughter to Chicago public schools and she earned her way to the Ivy League too! They are married, devoted to their children, and down-to-earth. McCain left his first wife in her hospital bed to have an affair with an heiress who he later married. Who is the elitist? Who best represents American family values? Who do you think can really relate to and feel the pain of regular Americans? Not even close, is it!

Must be nice.
The first thing McSame wants to do if he gets elected is give he and his wife another huge tax break.
Don''t worry it will "trickle down" to the rest of you eventually.

- "Maybe they''''re willing to repeatedly sacrifice tax cuts because they honestly do feel like they get more in return from the GOP"
I will stick with duped. Ask the average Joe about the estate tax and they will most likely repeat talking point propaganda rather than factual information about the reality: less than two percent of all estates are even subject to taxation. Most recently the McCain campaign and surrogates have been busily propagating lies about the Obama tax plan. The reality is that the Obama plan targets the middle-class while the McCain plan continues to inordinately favor the super elites. The average voter tuned into mainstream news (especially TV) simply does not operate from a level of knowledge necessary to filter the fact from the flying fictions spun by the right-wing echo chamber. Taxes merely illustrate the principle. - Reply to this comment
McSame may have 7 mansions but he understands the struggles of working Americans.
Why just the other day, he gave one of his lawn boys a shinny new nickel as a tip.
Compassionate conservatism in action.
Warms your heart doesn''t it?

- Since you want to talk about convicted felons: How does Charles Keating sound? Tom DeLay? Jack Abramoff? Scooter Libby? Karl Rove? Obama vs. the recent Republican administrations in a debate over ethics and personal character? No contest.

McCain has 7 mansions and is worth over 100 million dollars?
No wonder he wants to give another huge tax break to the rich.
He must be looking to pick up another couple of mansions.
The White House won''t be one of them.
