McCain exaggerated the extent of his proposals to cut taxes at the forum. He incorrectly claimed he would give a "tax credit" of $7,000 per child, which would be seven times as high as the current credit. His actual proposal would gradually increase the current $3,500 exemption, WHICH BENEFITS HIGH BRACKET TAXPAYERS THE MOST. - Reply to this comment

- I''m glad that the McCain campaign is demanding an end to the kind of partisan coverage that the Clinton campaign faced in the primary. I wondered when I heard Senator Obama say that he had "cheated" by looking at the adoption issue, but then thought as long as the topics were shown to both candidates it was equitable.
It''s interesting that the Obama campaign was so quick to accuse Senator McCain of being privy to Obama''s answers when McCain''s responses were basically what I''ve heard him say all along.
