Remember these are the same Americans who believed the lying war criminals about WMDs. And about our former buddy and biochemical weapons client Saddam being involved with 911. Oh yeah and supporting the absolute failure Butch with almost 90% approval. And many who think Obama is a Muslim. So you want to ask them for a reasonable valid opinion? Please.

Ariel133...Yes, let''s just have one war after another. Who wants peace. There''s tons of money to be made by constantly waging war so what are a few thousand American lives. I would like to see leadership that works to prevent war rather than one that is looking forward to the next one. While it is true that 9-11 was an attack on American soil it has been revealed afterward that it was preventable. We should concentrate our efforts on making America safer and try to use diplomacy to prevent future wars. If we can regain our respect among the other countries that used to be strong allies it will go a long way to preventing more war. It''s easy for you to sit in front of your computer and cheer for more war as long as you don''t have to go fight it. To quote John Lennon, "All we are saying is give peace a chance".

I am still waiting for someone to define, "victory". At this point, considering the cost in dollars and American lives lost, I would say that we have not achieved victory. While it is true that the fighting in Iraq has been reduced, there has really been no progress made in converting Iraq to a democracy. There probably will never be a time when Iraq is truly unified. And one must consider the rise in violence in Afghanistan. To remove troops from one country and send them to another really doesn''t constitute a victory. Any war changes from day to day. What looks to be progress one day can turn on a dime the next day. Obama seems to grasp this concept and is willing to act accordingly. Some of you call that flip floping but in reality it is just good sense. When we can bring all our troops home we will have achieved victory. The middle east countries should be allowed to determine their own fates. You cannot produce democracy at the point of a gun. Who are we to say that any country should accept our way and our way only? Let''s look for a way to leave that area in an orderly way and leave them to themselves. If they attack us again, then we should go after the attackers just like we should have gone after them after 9-11.

How can anyone say the war in Iraq is going well ? We are still hemoraghing trillions of U.S. tax dollars into the sands of Iraq, we still have 140,000 troops stuck there with no end in sight, and suicide bombers are killing people every single day. If that''s success, I''d HATE to see failure. This is just more lies from the Administration and its military puppets in advance of an election. No one believes anything the Republicans, or the military, say, nor should they.

Shoulda- woulda- coulda- too little too late- time to face facts- deal with reality- or go somewhere else. Be part of the solution no the problem- win the war and then win the next one- that is reality.

It''s just the calm before the storm. If McCain gets in the Whitehouse all hell will break out.

If Afghanistan was so important to Senator Obama, why did he not call at least one hearing with the Senate Subcommittee on European Affairs to discuss the direction of this particular war. Are you serious, Obama?

Yeah, right, he really cares..lol. All he cares about is getting elected, but you know what? This is all going to backfire on you. Americans don''t trust your empty rhetoric any more.

That''s one thing about the far-left liberal conspiracy theorists - they constantly have to change their theories based upon being proven wrong by the facts on the ground.

Ahem.

One month after 911, Ray Hunt [texas oil billionaire and Loyal Bushie] was appointed to the Presidents Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board [he also sits on the board of Halliburton]. Their advice? Get Iraqi oil, no matter how many American soldiers it kills.

Now Ray has a no-bid contract to exploit oil from Northern Iraq. He''s not even doing it through the Iraqi government, which Bush wants companies to do, he''s gone around them through the Kurds for higher profits. The gov''t will let him do it cuz he''s a Bush man.

Bush says the high cost of oil is a matter of ordinary Americans ''putting food on the table''. The truth? Its about texas billionaires being granted special advisory roles to get him to invade Iraq and then reaping massive profits from his doing so, while other Americans try on their new arms and legs.

I''ll believe we''ve won the war when we''re done paying for it. Till then, only Ray Hunt won the war.
